SeTenth Day’s Proceedings—Sixth An
nual Session.
The Conference was opened yester
day with religious services conducted
by Rev. W. K. Branham, Sr.
Rev. E. P. Birch and Rev. J. P.
Howell were announced as superanua-
ted by mistake in the proceedings pub
lished yesterday.
Rev. J. H. Grogan located at his
own request.
The Committee on Church Build
ings made a report which was adopted:
Churches 587; with stores 191; ceiled
or plastered 189; without ceiling or
plastering 398; without stoves 390.
The special committee on the me
morial from Jonesboro, relative to
church property, reported that the
Annual Conference had no jurisdiction
of the matter. Adopted.
Rev. J. E. Godfrey tendered his
resignation os Vice-President of the

Since our last report, the epizootic has

surrounding country, and for a few days
almost stopped trade; but our streets are
now thronged with ox-teams, and trade
is active, cotton is coming in fast. Much
of it It of superior quality, from the af
fects of the late frost. We quote cotton
to-day for 14 to 17$ cents per pound.
