likely be stationed in this,department of the

late of said county, deceased, did, in his life
time, execute to scud William G. Pierce his
bond condition to execute titles in fee sim
ple to said .William G. Pierce for part of lot
of land No. one hundred and fifty-eight in
the third District of originally Early, now
Calhoun County, to wit: Seventy-seven and
throe quarter acres, lying in the south-east
corner of said lot, and on the east side of a
branch crossing the Fort Gaines road leading
from the town of Morgan to that place ; and
it appearing that said William Price depart
ed this life without titles to said parcel of
land, or otherwise providing for the sum«|;
and it also appearing that said William G.
Pierce has fully complied with the condi
tions of HH'd bond, and said William G.
Pierce having petitioned this Court to direct
the said William G. Pierce. Administratorou
the estate of the said William Price, to exe
cute titles to said lot of land in conformity
with the the Statutot and bonci aforesaid :
Therefore'all persons concerned are hereby
notified and required to file their objections
(if any they have) in my office, within the
time prescribed by law, why said adminis
trator should not be ordered to execute titles
to said parcel of land in conformity with said
bond ; and it is further ordered that a copy
of this rule be published in the Early County
News for three mouths.

over their timo, will be reported to Hoad-
Quarters, and their names turned over to
Cavalry for arrest. Soldiers who are wound
ed or sick, so as to disablo them from re
portingto an Examining Board, must furnish
me with their attending Physician’s certifi
cate, stating all the circumstances attending
their case, and how long it will bo before
they will be able to report to a Board, &c.

TIIE following Confederate officers and
men are hereby declared duly exchanged:
1. All officers and men captured and pa
roled at any time previous to the first of Sep
tember, 1863. This section, however, is not
intended to include any officers or men cap
tured at Vicksburg, .Lily 4,1863, except such
as were declared exchanged by Exchange
Notice No. 6. .September 12, 1863, or speci
fically named in this notice. But it does em
brace ail deliveries made at City Point, or
other place, before September 1, 1863, and
with the limitation above named, all captures
at Port .Hudson, or any other place, where
the parties were released on parole.
2. The staff of Generals Pemberton, Ste
venson, Bowen, Moore, Barton, S.«D. Lee,
Cummings, Harris and Baldwin, and of.Col,
Reynolds, Cockrell and Dockery, the officers
and men belonging to the Engineer Corps

THE GEOEGIA ACADEMY
FOR THE BLIND.
THE next Term of this Institution com
mences the first day of September.
Blind persons, and such as for want of suffi
cient sight cannot be educated in the ordi
nary schools, of good health and sound mind,
between the ages of 8 and 25, arc proper sub
jects to become pupils. The indigent of this
State are received free of charge for board
and tuition. The course of Instruction em
braces all the branches of a common English
Education, with Music and some branches of
handicraft. The Institntion is well suppli
ed with all the facilities of instruction and
with ample accommodations for a large school.
Information in regard to the existence of blind
youths in this State is earnestly solicited and
also applications for their admission to the

who are disabled by wounds from reporting
at Macon, arc hereby ordered to report to
their Commands immediately at tho expira
tion of their furloughs, or they will be sub
ject to arrest, by order of Lieut, Col. Harris.
I trust all Soldiers will respect this order,
and save me the unpleasant task of sending
them to Head-Quarters.
