WOOL WANTED TO CLOTHE TIIE
ARMY.
I HAVE appointed B. M. Fryer sub.
Agent for the purchase of Wool for the
county of Early. It is hoped that all who
have Wool for sale or exchange will bring
the same in to him, as the Army is needing
wooling clothing very much. The Govern
ment is paying very liberal prices, either in
money or Fains, Osnaburgs, Shirtings and

the Commissioners’ prices, and call upon the
citizens of Early, Clay and Calhoun to come
forward and let me have their surplus. If
there is not a response to this call, impress
ment must be resorted to.
*A first rate between the ages of
16 and 50 years, who can bring a certificate
from an Enrolling Officer that his services
can be better employed as an Agent than as
a Soldier, is wanted in each of the above
named counties. Application mart be made
in person with recommendations.

and State for the “ Benefit of Posterity,” and

giving the names of tho Speculator or Extor
tioner in full, in what they have speculated,

drews, on two different occasions, (be amount
due him by J. R. Powell, late of Early coun
ty, Ga., deceased, being three certain proms
issory Notes, each ope of*\vhiclicalls for live
bundrod dollars. Said notes were given in
December, 1801. and made payable as fid
lows : One in one year, one in two years, and
the other in three years, from the making of
the same. This is, therefore, to notify all
persons not to trade for said notes, as we are
determined not to pay’the same unless com
pelled by law. as the said Andrews lias re
fused to receive Confederate money in pay
ment for the same.
