Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Reynolds
have returned to their home in
Jacksonville, Fla., after spending
some time with relatives here arid
at other points. Johnnie was reared
here and always receives the "alad
hand" from his many friends and
relatives.
Master Richmond Pullen, of Shell
man, is visiting his father, Mr. G.
M. Pullen.
Mr. Paige Mann, after a pleasant
week’s visit to his sister, Mrs. C. D.
Herrington, left Tuesday morning
for Atlanta via auto.
Miss Pauline Haddock is spending
some time in Dothan visiting friends.
Miss Thelma Perry has returned
home from Albany, where she has
been on a pleasant visit to relatives.
Miss Annetta Hightower has re
turned from Cordele, after spending
some time with her cousin, Miss
Fraseur.
Mrs. C. L. Webb is at home after
spending the summer attending sum
mer school in Athens.
Miss Kara Lewis has returned
from an extended visit to relatives
in Cordele.
Hon. J. I) Haddock is at home
again, much to the delight of his
many friends, after serving in the
Georgia Legislature.
Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Stamper, of
Jakin, and Mrs. C. V. Stamper and
son, Carlton, of Colerrian, were the.
delightful house guests of the
former’s sister, Mts. T. B. Coleman,
last week.
Mrs. H. C. Haddock and son anil
daughter, William and lonise, spent
last Wednesday in Albany shopping.
Miss Fay Collier spent the week
end at New Hope visiting her broth
ers, Sam and Auburn Roberts.
Miss Thelma Evans, bf Jakin. who
has been a guest of Mrs. McL. Parr
for several days, returned to her
home Thursday.
Mrs. Carl H. Lanier and children,
Catherine and Frances, returned
home Friday from a week’s pleasant
visit to their former pastor’s family,
Rev. and Mrs. A. A. Waite, at At
tapulgus.
Mr. George Nelson took his many
friends by surprise Sunday afternoon
by going over to Blakely and bring
ing back one of Blakely’s fairest
daughters, Miss Annolyn Felder, and
it is now Mr. and M*rs. George Nel
son. "Bud,” we wish you and yours
much happiness on the . sea of life.

ces Lord, of Bainbridge.

NOTICE OF ELECTION.
Notice is hereby given that 15 or
more freeholders of the llG4th Dis
trict G. M. of said county have, in
accordance with the provisions of
Section 2037 of the Civil Code of
Georgia, petitioned the undersigned
to call an election in said district
for.the benefit of the provisions of
Sections 2031, 2032, 2033, 2034 and
2035 of the Civil Code of Georgia,
and that after this notice has been
published for twenty days in the Ear
ly County News and for 20 days at
all precincts and public places in
said district, the undersigned will
proceed to have an election held in
said Militia Districts in which the
question shall lie submitted to the
lawful voters in said District in the
following form, tow’it: “For Fence’’
or “Stock Law’,” said election to be
held ::! the place and under the
same rules and regulations as are
provide! lor members of the Gener
al Assembly, and after 15 days no
tice thereof a,t the most public
places in said district, at which
election all persons are qualified to
vote for members of the General
Assembly and who have been bona
fide residents of said District for
90 days immediately preceding said
election shall be qualified to vote.
