HATCHERY WILL OPEN AGAIN
MONDAY.
The Incubator is ready for use
again, beginning Monday, September
29th. Although eggs are scarce
now is a fine time to grow chicks,
because Fall chickens are less sus
ceptible to disease and grow off
very fast.
The market price is always higher
for Fall chickens, and as soon as
possible Early county will have a
large co-operative sale.
Neighbors must help each other
in this “egg shortage season” and
help fill the incubator EARLY, so
that the first chicken sale will be
I
a large and successful one.
The hatchery committee is very
active and meets twice monthly, en
deavoring to be of assistance to all
county poultry producers and this
committee has their inerest in view j
always. Those wishing help or ad
vice in any matter concerning the
hatchery may see this committee or
write to them. Address: “The
Hatchery Committee, care Mr. .J.
E. Jones, Blakely, Ga.”
The trays this season will be two
dollars and fifty cents.
Everybody co-operate and help to
make Early county the poultry cen
ter of Georgia.
A High Point for September.
GET READY TO PUT IN SMALL
GRAIN ON TIME. I have a num
ber of the leaflets put out by the
Division of Agronomy showing the
relative results in yields per acre
of small grain seeded early over
late seeding. Seed oats are scarce
and will likely be a little high in
price, but the short corn crop in
most parts of the State make it
necessary that additional feed crops
be put in. Because oats were kill
ed last winter is vo indie. 1 :. >n that
the crop will get killed this winter.
I trust, therefore, we are waging a
vigorous campaign to get in a good
acreage to small grain on time.

PERMANENT TOMB FOR
WOODROW WILSON WHERE
HIS BODY NOW LIES
Indications that the National
Protestant Episcopal Cathedral at 1
Washington will remain the perma
nent resting place for the body of
Woodrow Wilson are foreseen in'
plans of the Cathedral foundation,
which calls for a more magnificent
shrine than the crypt under Bethle
hem Chapel, where the body now
lies. Although the great cathedral
Is not expected to be completed for
more than five years yet, it is under
stood that plans have been drawn
to place the proposed shrine in the
main part iof the building.
Mrs. Wilson recently had meas
urements taken in the chapel for a
more appropriate tablet than the
plain stone block which simply bears
the name of Woodrow Wilson, and
I
the dates of birth and death.
A curator is expected to be ap
pointed this week for the cathedral.
It is said that such an officer is
needed to guide tourists who have
| increased in great numbers since
Woodrow Wilson’s body was placed
in the chapel.
