Iron City Young Man
Serving In Army Dies
From Infected Throat
Iron City, Ga.—The funeral of
Eldridge E. Hall, 19, of Iron City,
was held Sunday afternoon in the
Donalsonville Baptist Church. The
Rev. Whit Aiken conducted the
service and was assisted by a cousin
of the deceased, the Rev.
Hornsby, of Clinton, N. C. Pah
bearers were Murray Hornsby, Eu
gene Hornsby, Joseph Miller, Er
nest Sessions,’Lowell Hali, and Por
ter Smith. An honorary escort
eluded Sherrod Sessions, Jim Rob
erts, Bill Mosely, John Hanna, J. B.
Clark, and Alf Greene. Evans &
Son Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements. CpIs. Frank Van de
Harr, Jim Clark, Paul Mullen, Nor
man Harper, and Major Hempler
held brief services for the deceasca
before the casket was placed on the
train in Aberdeen, Md., July 26. Al- |

Boland and C. E. Bovard.

was 19 years of age. He entered the
Army four months ago after com
pleting school at Georgia Military
College and a year at the University
of Georgia. He had finished his
basic training at Aberdeen Prov

to instruct a class in high and low

all the family were together. All
were here except Mrs. J. 0. Evans,

had a wonderful supper out under
the oaks. Mrs. Stella Grubbs and
children, Sallie and Lewis, Mrs.
Gene Freeman of Hilton and Mr.
Tom McGlamory called that night.
