Miss Tamara Lee Holman and
James Robert Cannon were married
at 6:30 p.m., November 6, in the First
Church of God, Kokomo, Indiana.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Donald L. Holman of
Sharpesville, Indiana. Parents of the
bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Joe A.
Cannon of Blakely.
The Rev. Ronald Crump performed
the double ring ceremony. The church
was decorated with pink and red roses
centered with a double ring
candelabra with white tapered
candles. At the alter were individual
candles that were lighted by mothers
of the bride and groom representing
their children, which the bride and
groom used to light one large anniver
sary candle during the ceremony.
The wedding music was presented
by Mrs. Gail Still and soloist was Mrs.
Mary Larison.
The bride, given in marriage by her
parents, wore a gown of candlelight
organza and venice lace. It was
fashioned with a high neckline, full
bishop sleeves, a fitted waistline and a
full bias cut skirt which flowed into a
chapel train. It was layered and trim
med in venice daisies. She chose a
half bonnet accented with venice lace
and pearls. The bonnet was attached
to a shoulder length doubled veil of il
lusion. She wore a diamond pendant, a
gift from the groom, and carried a
bouquet of pink roses.
Attending the bride was Mrs. Donna
Larison. sister of the bride of
Komoko, who was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were: Gina Olson, Ft.
Wayne, Indiana, Shirley Cole, I»ri
Griswald, Charlotte Oberleas and
Debbie Morrow all of Kokomo, In
diana. Flower girl was Tara Martin.
The attendants wore long rose colored
dresses accented with white lace on
yoke and sleeves. They carried bou
quets of pink and red roses.
Mr. Cannon served as his son's best

Cannon, Athens, Georgia, Billy Can
non, Blakely, brothers of the groom;
Mac Enfinger, Atlanta; Scott
Houston, Albany; and John Moseley,
Blakely. Matt Upchurch and Melody
Jones lighted the candles. Ring
bearer was Chad Holliday.
The bride's mother wore a long pink
dress with floral matching jacket and
carried a bouquet of red roses.
The mother of the groom wore a
blue floor length dress. She carried a
bouquet of red roses.
Reception
A reception was held in the church
social hall. Guests were registered by
Pat Cohee and Toy Simmons. Those
attending in serving were: Mrs. Billy
Cannon and Miss Gail Thomas of
Blakely.

Rehearsal Dinner
A rehearsal dinner was held at
Rezo’s Restaurant in Kokomo by the
groom’s parents. Gifts were
presented to attendants in the wed
ding. Approximately fifty guests at
tended.
Parties
The bride-elect was honored on
September 9 with a coke party by
Mrs. Bobby Davis and Mrs. Jimmy
Helton at the Davis home. Approx
imately 25 guests attended. The
hostesses presented Miss Holman
with a pitcher in her chosen pattern of
crystal.
On September 23 a tea shower was
held at the First United Methodist
Church of Blakely, honoring Miss
Holman. Hostesses were Mrs. Max
Holman, Mrs. Arthur Chapman, Mrs.
John Moseley. Sr., Mrs. Glenn Enf
inger, Mrs. Chester Houston, Mrs.
Clifford Starr, Mrs. Malcom
Freeman, Mrs. Ray Knight. Mrs.
Leonard White and Mrs. Harold

Mr. and Mrs. W.J. “Bill” Belisle of
Plant City, Florida, were honored
with a 50th Anniversary luncheon at
the lovely lakeside home of Mr. and
Mrs. Melvin Belisle in Seffner,
Florida, on Sunday, November 7.
Hosts and hostesses were their sons
and wives, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Beli
sle, Mr. and Mrs. Joel Belisle of Plant
City and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Rex Beli
sle of Sanford. Also assisting were
grandchildren of the couple.
Approximately sixty relatives and
friends enjoyed the food and
fellowship.
Mr. and Mrs. Belisle were married
at the home of Rev. Coot Houston in

Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Middleton of
Blakely, Ga. will celebrate their 50th
Wedding Anniversary at a reception
given by their children on November
27, 1982 at New Hope Church in the
Fellowship Hall from 2 o’clock to 4
o’clock p.m.
Friends and relatives are cordially
invited to share in their joy on this
special day.

A dinner party was held at the home
of David Moseley, honoring Tammy
Holman and James Cannon on
September 23. Approximately 65
guests attended. Hostesses were: Gail
Thomas, David Moseley,- Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Billy
Cannon, Mr. and Mrs. Graham Har
vin and Mr. and Mrs. John Moseley.
On September 11, a lingerie shower
was given in honor of Miss Holman in
Sharpesville, Indiana by Mrs. Betty
Jones and Mrs. Louise True.
Miss Holman was honored with a
miscellaneous shower in Kokomo, In
diana. Hostesses were: Lori
Griswald, Shirley Cole, Donna
larison, Charlotte Oberleas and Deb
bie Morrow.

30th by Miss Gina Olson in Ft. Wayne,
Indiana.
