Th« Liberal Wat form. >
Tba following nr* 1b« reaolutloaV In full
adopted by tb* liberal Republican Satiowal
Convention at Cincinnati in May, and endora-
ed by the Democratic Convention in July.*
We, tbe Liberal Republican! of the United
Statea, in National Convention aaaembled at
Di%jinnati, proclaimed tbe following principles
ai essential to a just government:
First—We recognize tbe eqaality of all men
before (be law, and bold that It ie the duty of
the government, in ita dealings witb the people,
to mete ont equal and exact justice to all; of
whatever nativity, race, color, persuasion, re
ligious or political-
Second—We fledge onraelvei to maintain
tbe anion of these States, emancipation and
enfranchisement, nnd to appose any reopening
of the qocstifne settled by the Thirteenth,
Fourteenth and Fifteenth amendments of the
Constitution,
Third—We demand the immediate end nhao
lnte removal of all dscabtlHi urn Itupaaed on ac
count ef the rebel lltra, wtUch was Saelly sub
dued (even years ago, believing that universal
amnesty will result in tb* complete pacification
of all sections of the eouqUjr.
>ourth—Loctl self-government, with impar
tlal suffrage, will guard the rights of all citizens
more securely than any centralized power. The
public welfare requires the supremacy of the
civil over ths military authority,'and tbe fiee
dom of-persons under tbe protection of the ba
bcas corpus. We demand for the individual
the largest liberty consistent with public order
for the State’s self-government, and for tbe
nation a returr- to tbe methods of peace and
tbe constitutional limitations of power.
Fifth—Tho ciril service of the government
hss become a more instrument of partisan
tyranny and personal ambition, and an object
of (elfish greed. It is a scandal and reproach
npon our free Institutions, and broods a demor
alization dangerous to the perpetuity of repub
lican government. We therefore regard a
thorough reform of the etvil service as one of
the moat pressing necessities of tbe hour; that
hhnesty, capacity and fidelity constitute the
only valid olalms to public employment; that
the offices of the government cease to be a mat-
ter of arbitrary faveritism and patronage, and
that public stations become again posts of hon
or. To this end it is imperatively required that
no President shall be a candidate for re-elec-
tioo.
Sixth—We demand a system of federal taxa
tion which shall not unnecessarily interfere
with the industry of the people, and which
shall provide means necessary to pay the ex
penses of the governUffent,economically admin
istered, pensions, the -interest on the public'
debt, and a moderate reduction, annually, of
nie principal thereof, and recognizing that
there are in our midst honest, but irreconcila
ble difference* of opinion with regard to the'
neepective systems of protection and free trade,
we remit discussion of the subject to the peo
ple in their congressional districts, and to the
decision of Congress thereon, wholly free of
executive loterference or dictation.
Seventh—The publio credit must be sacredly
maintained, and We denounce repudiation in
•very form and guise.
Eight—A speedy return to specie payments
Is demanded alikd by the highest considerations
of commercial morality and honest government.

Ninth—We reiMmber witb gratitude tb*
heroism and sacrifice of tbe soldiers and sailors
of tbe republic, and no act of ours shall ever
detract from their justly earned fame or of (he
full rqward of their patriotism.
Tooth—Wn are opposed te all further grants
ef lands to railroads or other corporations.
The pnblic domain should be held sacred to
•otaal settlers.
Eleventh—We hold that it is the doty of the
government, in its intercourse with foreign na
tlons, ti cultivate the friendship of peaoe by
treating with all on fair and equal terms, re
garding it alike dishonorable either to demand
what is not right or to submit to what is wrong.
Twelfth—For the promotion and success of
these vital principles, and the support of the
dandidatea nqminnted by this convention, we
invite and cordially welcome the cooperation
of all patriotic citizons, without regard to pre
vious political a'hliation. * .

in the Mouth, Bilious Attacks, Palpitation of the
Heart, Inflammation of the Lungs, Pain in the regions of
the Kidneys, and a hundred other painful symptoms
are the oflsprings of Dyspepsia. In these complaints
it has no equal, and one bottle will prove a better guar
antee of its merits than a lengthy advertisement.
For Female Complaints* m young or old,
married or single, at the dawn of womanhood, or th*
turn of life, these Tonic Bitters display so decided u
influence that a marked improvement is soon percep
tible. r
For Inflnmmaiorjr and Chronic Rheu
matism and Gout, Dyspepsia or Indigestion, Bilious
Remittent and Intermittent Fevers, Diseases of ths
Blood, Liver, Kidneys and Bladder, these Bitters have
been most successful. Such Diseases are caused bv
Vitiated Blood, which is generally produced by derasn.
■lent of the Digestive Organs. *
They are a Gentle Purgative as well as
a Tonic, poasessinp also the peculiar merit of actinc
as a powerful agent in relieving Congestion or Inflaia
mation of the Liver and Visceral Organs, and in Bilious
Diseases.

»ipelas. Itch, Scurfs, Discolorations of the Skin, Humors
and Diseases of the Skin, of whatever name or nature'
are literally dug up and carried out of the system in a
•hort time by the use of these Bitters. One*bottle ii
•uch cases will convince the most incredulous of their
curative effects. *
Cleanse the 'Vitiated Clood whenever yos
find its impurities bursting through the skin in Pimples,
Eruptions, or Sores; cleanse it when you find it ob
structed and sluggish in the veins ; cleanse it when it is
foul; your feelings will tell yon when. Keep the blood
pure, and the health of the system will follow.
Grateful (hotisnixlffi proclaim Vinkcak Bit-
TKKS the most wonderful luvigorant that ever sustained
the sinking system.
Pin, Tape, aud other Worms, lurking is
the system of so many thousand^ are effectually de
stroyed and removed. Says a distinguished physiol,
ogist: There is scarcely an individual upon the faclofthe
earth whose body is exempt from the presence of worms.
It is not upon the healthy elements of tilt body that
worms exist, but upon the diseased humors and slimy
deposits that breed these living nfionslers of d/staso.
No system of Medicine, r^o vermifuges, no amhe/mis-
itics, will free the system from worms like these Bit
ters.
Mecnanleal Diseases. Persons- engaged is
Paints and Mineral such as Plumbers, 7’ype-serten,
Gold-beaters, aud Miners, as they advance in life, will
be subject to paralysis of the Bowels. To guard against
this take a dose o( Wai.kir's Vinegar Bittsss once
or twice a week, as a Preventive.
BIMons, Remittent, amd Intermittent
Fevers,0rhich are so prevalent in the valleys of onr
great rivers throughout the United States, especially
those of the Mississippi. Ohio, .Missouri, Illinois, Ten
nessee, Cumberland, Arkansas, Red, Colorado, Brxiet,
Rio Grande, Pearl, Alabama, Mobile. Savannah, Rein-
oke, James, and many others, with their vast tributa
ries, throughout our entire country during the Summer
and Autumn, and remarkably so during seasons cf
unusual heat and dryness, are invariably accompanied
by extensive'derangeinents of the stomach and liver, »d
other abdominal viscera. There are always more or less
obstructions of the liver, a weakness and irritable state
of the stomach, and great torpor of the bowels, being
clogged up with vitiated accumulations. In their fleet-
ment, a purgative, exerting a powerful influence fcpoe
these various organs, is essentially necessary. There ti
no cathartic for the purpose equal to Da. J- Waucei'i
Vinegar Bittbes, as they will speedily remove the
dark-colored viscid matter with which the bowels we
loaded, at tfie same time stimulating the secretion*
the liver, and generally restoring the. healthy functioet
of the digestive organs.
Scrofula, or King’s Evil, White Swellings,
Ulcers, Erysipelas, Swelled Neck, Goiter, Scrofulous
Inflammations, Indolent Inflammations, Mercurial Af
fections, Old Sores, Eruptions of the Skin, Sore Eve*,
etc., etc. In these, as in all other constitutional Dis
eases, Wai.kkr’s Vinegar Bitters have shown their
great curative powers in the most obstinate aud intract
able cases.
Dr. Ws^ker’s Call fornla Vinegar Bitten
act on all these cases in a similar manner. By purifying
the Blood they remove the cause, and byresolving awsy
the eifects of the inflammation (the tubercular deposit*)
the affected parts receive health, and a permanent curs
is effected.
The properties of Dr. Walker’s Vinegai
Bitters are Aperient. Diaphoretic and Carminativs.
Nutritious, Laxative, Diuretic, Sedative, Counter-Im-
tant, Sudorific; Alterative, and Anti-BiHout.
The Aperient and mild Laxative properties of
Dr. Walker's Vinegar Bitters are the best safe
guard in all cases of eruptions and malignant fevers,
their balsamic, healing, and soothing properties protect
the humors of the fauces. Their Sedative properties
allay pain in the nervous system, stomach, and bowel*,
either from inflammation, wind, colic, cramps, etc
' Their Counter-Irritant influence extends throughout
the system. Their Diuretic properties act on the Kid
neys, correcting and regulating the flow of urine. Their
Anti-Bilious properties stimulate the liver, in the secre*
tion of bile, and its'discharges through the biliary duct*,
and are superior to all remedial agents, for the cure of
Bilious Fever, Fever and Ague, etc
Fortify the body against disease by puri
fying all its fluids with Vinegar Bitters. No epi
demic can take hold -of a system thus forearmed. The
diver, the stomach, the bowels, the kidneys, and tbe
nerves are rendered disease-proof by thivgreat iavig*
orant. . , . .
Directions.—Take of ths Bitters on jomgtobejl
