W, OTHO BEALL, LOCAL EDITOR.
HOMENEWS.
Christmas is coming.
The next fourth ot July will
come around in 1886.
Who celebrated Thinksgiving
day in Carrollton, yesterday?
All the wagon yards are crows [
ded now every day in the week.
Bring the editor some wood.
His fire is too low this cold weath-
er.
Read the advertisements of Har
ber’s periodicals in this weeks
Times.
Dr. S. 0. Wnite is living a
pretty residence erected on thcThill
just north of town.
Messers Rhudy & Sperlock have
something in another column
which will interest you.
Mrs. Anselm Lee and her
daughter, Miss Nellie Carlton, of
Coweta, visited friends in Carroll
ton Monday.
Smith’s Bile Beans reetore the
appetite, prevent dyspepsia, and
cure all disorders arising from a
disordered liver. Two bits per bottle.
Mrs. McCord has moved into
the residence formerly occupied by
Mr. Bradley, who is now comfort
ably ensconced in his spacious new
dwelling.
A blind preacher held forth at
the Baptist churches at this place,
during this week. We understand
he had a very good attendance and
collections.
Ihe minutes of the Carrollton
Baptist Association, which were
printed at this office, are now out
and ready for distribution. Call
. at this office for them.
The Coweta Advertiser got the
joke about the Sells show and our
police slightly mixed up. He
should read the Times for news
from this malitiu district.
The editor of the Times is out on
a tour to the offices on the Ga. Pa
cific R: R. He will return early
next week. In the meantime come
around and settle your subscrip
tion.
We are now printing and have
on hand a full assortment of legal
blanks, for justices and others, and
all wanting such work will do well
so call on ur, as we will sell them
very cheaply-
If those who owe us subscription
would come right up and settle,
there would be no trouble in buy
ing material, and consequently no
trouble in sending yon a neat
paper.
The merchants have commenc
ed to receive their Christmas toys
and goodies for the approaching
holiday,and the small boy now
lays by his extra nickle for use at
that time.
We hope our readers will excuse
our lack of interesting reading mat
ter this week, as the Editor is gone
and we have been pressed with
work for the last few weeks, so
that the boys have fallen behind
with the paper.
We understand that the Rev. W.
F. Quillian, who served as pastor
here for the M. E. church several
years ago, is expected to preach
here at the Methodist church next
Sunday. Mr. Q. has many warm
friends here of all classes, who
will he glad to eee him and hear
him preach.
Our correspondents are treating
tit badly. They cannot find time
to write us a few lines a week, and
it seems to us they might. We
like to have the news from all parts
of the county, and our readers ex
pect it. Those or our correspon
dents who are lagging back please
come up next week with a news
letter.
The almanac gay* this is a good
time !o kill hogs if you have any
to kill. Why should you not have
them? There are several good
breeds, such as the Short —horn,
razor-back etc. all of which grow
well in this country if properly
clothed and fed. Their stye
should be attended to before they
lose their eyesight. —Our Agri
cultural Editor.

Euclt CrcoK,
Not seeing] anything in your pa
per from this section,and thinking
that a fe v lines would not be ob
jectionable, I decided to get up a
short letter, though news items are
scarce
Cold weather seems to have set
in. We have so much rain the far
mers just have time to get“straight
ened’’ out to work good from one
rain to the next. However all
things are governed by all-vise
Providence, who knows what is
best foi man and beast.
I am told that everything was
sold quite cheap at Mr. Black’s
sale, the eighteenth inst. Corn
from thirty seven and a half to for
ty one cts. per bushel; fodder from
87cts. tn SI.OO per hundred; pota
toes fjom 16 to 20cts. per bushel.
Milch cows, from seven to thirteen
dollars, and cverythingelse in pro»
portion.
We spent Monday night with
Mr. Geor^e Harper, and had quite
a nice time. We helped the little
folks ‘‘stretch lasses candy,” and I
think enjoyed it as much as (hev
did. It was real nice.
One of Mr. Henry Long’s little
boys is quite sick.
Mrs. Boswell is on the sick list.

Constipation
The removal of the waste por
tions of the body which have serv
ed their purpose, being absolutely
necessary to health, a failure to
remove them regularly causes
much suffering. The bowels
clogged become inactive, the Stom
ach overtaxed fails to digest, the
liver sympathizing loses its natural
activity, and Dyspepsia, Indiges
tion, Billiousnoss and Sick Head
ache, with all their miseries, come
fallowing close behind. Since 18
40 there has been no remedy found
so safe and effectual as the origi
nal Dr. M. A Simmons’ Liver
Medicine, which invigorates and
builds up the system, while it car
ries off the effete matter and re
moves the cause for disease.
Billiards must be an easy game,
lor its mostly done on cushions.—
Stockton Maverick.
A lady of our acquaintance has
been in quite feeble health for
many years—with some complaint
peculiar to the sex—became ema
ciated —lost her appetite —was
melancholy—sleepless—cross and
fretful. Many years’ suffering in
dicated that all medicines were a
failure. Some one suggested the
use of the Mexican Female Reme
dy, which could be applied locally.
Alter using two or three bottles an
astonishing change was observed,
and a complete cure was soon effee
ted.
Some shoemakers rre notorious

C, C. C, The Hot Srings Remedy.
The curative properties of this
powerful and justly celebrated
medicine are truly wonderful, as
tounding not only the patient and
sympathizing friends, but many
physicians throughout the country,
belono-insj to the stiictest school of
ethics, have thrown aside their po
tent Alteratives, Sarsaparuias, lo
dides and Mercurials,after witness
ing the energetic, thorough and
speedy curative powers of C. C. C.
