FOP. TIIE CURE OF
AGUE AND FEVER
OR
CHILLS AND FEVER.
The proprietor of this celebrated medicine justly
claims for it a superiority over all remedies ever offer
ed to the public tor the safe, certain, speedy and per
manent cure ot Ague and Fever .or Chilis and Fever
whether of short or Ion*; standing, lie refers to the
entire W estern and Southwestern country to bear him
testimony to the truth of the assertion, that in no case
whatever will it fail to cure, if the directions are strict
ly followed and ca ried out. In a great many cases a
single dose has been sufficient for a cure, and whole
families have been cured hy a single bottle, uitha per
fect restoration of the general health. It is, however,
prudent, and in every caae more cert -in to cure, if its’
use is continued in smaller doses fur a week or two af
ter the disease has been checked, more especially in
difficult and long standing cases. Usually, this rnedi
cine will not require any aid to keep the bowels in
good order; should the patient, however, require a
cathartic medicine, after having token three or four
doses of the Tontc, a single dose of BULL’"} VEGETA
BLE KAM’LY Pli-I-S will be sufficient.

One year since, when they were

in that quarter at that time.
Thar was a famine just then, and a j

Least wise it was about the same
thing. Thar was plenty of meat, an
abundance of corn, and no tkeercity
of chickens; but the rivers were div,
an’ whisky run entirely short. Some
prudent people had IniJ in sufficient

Dr. Kellnm was in trouble, too—he
sympathized with his neighbors; but
Ug ha dpi half barrel of ninety-five per

was consumed, he m imaged to fix it
up with sugar an’ water, an’ ether, an’
sick truck, until he made a puity fair

he invited me to sample it. Well, it
kinder filled the room with the smell,
an’ just then a man from Mud River

says, “I've been nigh too weeks from
home, an’ I’m almost starved.”
“O,” says Kelhim, pintin to the cask,
“that’s it Helj) yourself.”
The chap brightened up, an’ drawed
a level tumblerful of that alcohol an’
afore you could say “scat, you beast! ’
down it went.
Kellum he turned pale.
Says the man: “I’m much obliged to
you. That’s sarchin !" ua’ he turned
au’ walked out.
Kdlum set as if he’d been shot, an’
then jumped up.
“That won’t do,” says he, “That’s
enough to p.zen a crowd. Call him
back and give him an emetic.”
We both went to the door. He
warn’t in sight. I run up the krick,
and Kellu n he run up the road; but it
wasn’t no use.
“I should’lit wonder,” says Kellum,
“if t .at chap hasn’t gone an’ died iome

Well, we sot thar for about an hour
