A majority of the Committee wen* present at
all the c-vveiae*, aud gave especial diligence to
the method employed by tech ti-achit in the
examination ol the several el asset. Wo could
detect no partiality Whatever in any Instance,
nor any attempt to shield the pupil from the
moat rigid onli-al in the investigation of the va
rious branches of study under review.
It was also made evident that no particular
part or part* of any author bad been selected for
special recitation, tin the contrary, llio entire
ground, which had been traversed during the
eolleirinto year, was explored, and frequently u

of the examination from one part U) another of
the book under consideration.

the graces in attendance, while the lorely archer
