other lot he determined to keep them front
water entirely, chauged pastures daily,
divided tho sick from the well, and gave
them an abundance of salt. Ten days ex
perimenting iu this wise cleared the drove
of diseaso, with a loss of about five per
cent. The previous loss, with water, was
fbrty percent. Another lot treated this*
way the loss was only one per cent. Watch
your cattle closely, and when they get
weak-eyed put them In a dry field and salt
heavy. When one dies burn It without
skinning, as that will prevent the spread
ing of tne disease.
