Attorney - at - Law,
Is essential to 1
health. Every noolr gNC 9
and comer of the
system is reached by the blood, and on
its quality the qondition of every organ de

good digestion, robust health. Impure
blood means Scrofula, dyspepsia,rheuma

way to have good blood is to take Hood’s
Sarsaparilla. This medicine purifies, vi

the elements of health and strength to

and cures that tired feeling. Remember,

Whitfield county made quite a
record in the way of first class fires
Friday, in which the honors were
shared equally by Dalton and

At 7 o’clock Friday morning the
city department was called to the
residence of Dr. L. Huffaker on
North Hamilton street, where a
small blaze had caught in some
bedding in one of the rooms and'
was making dangerous headway.
The fire was extinguished with
very little damage.
Again at noon the residence of
Fannie Knuckles on Depot street
caught fire from a defective kitchen
flue and a more dangerous fire than
the first ensued, which damaged
the building considerably and gave
an opportunity for some fine work
on the part of Dalton’s Unequaled

The services at the First Pres

particularly fine and a large con

He chose the following text
from Ecclesiastees xii. 13 : “Let
us hear now the conclusion of the
whole matter, fear God and keep
his commandments for this is the
whole duty of man.”
The discourse was highly pol

showed the folly of earthly pleas

or honor or wisdom but in the
fear of God alone.
The text of the evening ser

Rev. Luke Johnson’s sermon on
last Sunday morning has been
spoken of as one of the strongest
discourses which that scholar has
delivered since his stay in Dalton.
His text was chosen from First
Timothy and, broadly expressed,
was of prayer and its . efficacy.
“ I exhort therefore first of all
that supplications, prayers, inter
cessions and giving of thanks be
made for all men,” was the script
ure upon which he based his re
marks.
The evening sermon was from
the passage: “For in Christ Je
sus neither circumcision availeth
anything nor uncircumcision, but
a new creature.”
