Dear Editor:—The

that I never expect to be a candi

take a retrospective view of the

in this enlightened day, 1^ ask
why should we have two election
days, when the law sets apart a
fixed day on which we, as a free
people, can vote for the men of
our choice to fill the various
offices? I do not know how far

Mr. Kenner is always welcomed

approval. Do away with the
hard sayings and fault-findings to
carry out measures which a ma
jority of our taxpayers do not
want or need. We have many
laws which should be repealed,
many changes to be made to lower
taxes. I desire later on to show
how this can be done.
If there is some one, or more,
who cannot fill the office desired
honorably, and for the good of our
citizens, and who will not hear
counsel of friends, vote him down
next October. May all our candi

fore the people why they claim price,
the office, and how, to the utmost
and full extent of their ability,
they can and will fill said office.
Then, if we have the evidence of
such statements as being true, can
we not have but one election as
our forefathers, and ask that
brotherly love abide with all ?
Understand me that we have
enough competent white men to
