Woman’s World
THE ROSE.
The rose had been wash’d, just wash’d
in a shower,
"Which Mary to Anna convey’d ;
The plentiful moisture encumber’d the
flower,
And weigh’d down its beautiful head.
The cup was all fill’d, and the leaves
were all wet,
And it seem’d, to a fanciful view,
To weep for the buds it had left with
regret,
On the beautiful bush where it grew.
I hastily seized it, unfit as it was
For a nosegay, so dripping and
drown’d,
And swinging it rudely, too rudely, alas!
I snapp’d it—it fell to the ground.
And such, I exclaim’d, is the pitiless
part,
Some act by the delicate mind,
Regardless of wringing and breaking a
heart,
Already to sorrow resign’d.
This beautiful rose, had I shaken it less,
Might have bloom’d with its owner
awhile;
And the tear that is wiped with a little
address,
May be follow’d, perhaps by a smile.

Hightower & Talley Offer to Return
Money If Hyomei Treatment Fails
To Cure Catarrh Without
Stomach Dosing.
If for a few minutes four times
a day you breathe Hyomei, all ca
tarrhal germs will be destroyed
and the irritated mucous mem
brane restored to health.
With every Hyomei outfit there
is a neat inhaler which can he car
ried in the purse or pocket. Hyo
mei breathed through this contains
the same healing balsams that are
found in the air upon tjie moun»
tains, where catarrh is unknowns
It destroys all catarrhal germs
in the air passages of the head,
throat and nose, and makes a pos
itive and permanent cure of
catarrh.
The complete outfit costs but
$1, while extra bottles of Hyomei
can be obtained for 60c., making it
one of the most economical of
treatments for catarrh.
Hightower & Talley believe so
thoroughly in the merit of Hyomei,
that they guarantee to return the
money if it fails. This is certainly
the strongest evidence they can
give of their faith in the Hyomei
treatment. It enables any one to
use Hyomei without risk of spend
ing money for nothing.
Ask Hightower & Talley to
show you a Hyomei outfit and ex
plain to you what a simple and
easy way it is to relieve and cure
your catarrhal troubles.
There are some fruits that re
main acrid and bitter until frosts
come. There are lives which
never become mellow in love’s
tenderness until sorrow’s frosts
have touched them. There are
those who come out of every new
experience of suffering or pain,
with a new blessing in their lives,
cleansed of some earthliness, and
made a little more like God. It
is God’s design for us that this
should always be the outcome of
affliction, that the fruits of the
Spirit in us should be a little

experience of trouble; and we fail
and disappoint God when it is not
so.—J. R. Miller.

Ivy Leaf Club, 1,702 6th Avenue,
CouncU Bluffs, rowa, writes:
“Peruna is no experimental medi
cine. I have used it off and on now
for three years. At that time l was
cured of irregular and painful men
struation. Since that time l have
taken It for indigestion or whenever I
felt overworked and in need of a tonic,
and I have always found that ft was of
great benefit to me. i am therefore
pleased and happy to say a word in its
praise and shall gladly indorse it to
my friends.”—Mrs. J. P. Coady.
Miss Hattie Grace, 254 "West 46th St.,
New York, writes:
“Peruna has changed me from a
fretful, irritable, nervous woman into
a healthy and a happy one. Nothing
seems to worry and to fret me any
more. Since early womanhood I suf
fered with bearing down pains and
nervousness. I was thin and worried,
but Peruna restored me. Those who
knew me before cannot understand
the change, but lean sum it all up in the
blessed word, Peruna.”—Hattie Grace.
Mrs. Elizabeth Ferguson, No. 181 51st
6t., Brooklyn, N. Y., President West
Brooklyn Audubon Society, writes:
“I am pleased to tell what a blessing
Peruna has been to me. Several years
ago my constitution seemed broken
down and I cared little whether l Uved
or died. I had taken so much medi
cine that the sight of a bottle made me
sick. I had read about Peruna curing
women, and I thought perhaps it would
help me. I bought a bottle and before
it was finished l felt better. I kept on
taking it, and after three months'
faithful use I was a well woman and
able to do the work and undergo the
strain of younger days.”—Elizabeth
Ferguson.
In view ot the great multitude of wo
men suffering from.some form of female
disease and yet unable to find any cure,
Dr. Hartman, the renowned gynecolo
gist, has announced his willingness to
direct the treatment of as many cases as
make application to him during the
■ummer months without charge.
The treatment will be conducted by
correspondence. The doctor will p»e-
scribe all medicines, applications, hy
gienic and dietary regulations necessary
to complete a cure. The medicines pre
scribed can be obtained at all drug
■ tores. This offer will hold good only
during the summer months. Any wo
man can become a regular patient by
sending a written statement of her age,
condition of life, history and symptoms
of her derangements.
All cases of female diseases, including
menstrual irregularities, displacements,
ulcerations, inflammations, discharges.
Irritation of the ovaries, tumors and
dropsy of the abdomen, should apply at
once and become registered as regular
patients. All correspondence will be
held strictly confidential.
As is well known, Dr. Hartman is the
president of The Hartman Sanitarium,
an institution which has a department
devoted exclusively to the treatment of
female diseases. He is thus brought to
see thousands of such cases every year,
the most of whom return to their homes
to be treated by correspondence. The
principal remedy he relies upon in such
cases is Peruna, which every woman
should have who has any affection of
this kind. Those wishing to become
patients should address Dr. S. B. Hart
man, Columbus* Ohio.
No one knows better than Dr. HarV
man how much the women suffer with
diseases peculiar to their sex. No on*
knows better than he does how many
of them suffer with such disease*.
Patiently, hopefully, wearily, and often
silently, they eke out a miserable exist
ence, year after year.
No martyr in poetry or heroine in
romance makes a more touching appeal
to human sympathy than the woman
burdened with the cares of a family
trying to carry the extra load of soma
tormenting and ever present female
disease.
Dr. Hartman’s sympathy for such ia
unbounded, and his willingness to help
1 them limited only to his power.
