MUSIC ON FORT DEPENDABLE.
Next Sunday afternoon, if the weather is favorable, will witness the
•crowning effort-on the part of all who assist to show the people of Dalton a
pleasant time on Fort Dependable.
Beginning at 3 o’clock, the combined bands of Dalton, under the skilled
leadership of Prof. Grunitz, will furnish music.
Every town of any consequence has-a band, and is proud of it, and that
Dalton people appreciate the Dalton Band will be evidenced by the hundreds
who will come out to hear it next Sunday afternoon.
This will be the last special feature that will take place on the fort
until next summer.
School began at this place last Mon
day, with Mr. E’.roadrick as teacher.

Miss Clemmie Cavender went to
Center Point Monday morning to take

place. Miss Cavender is an excellent
teacher and is sure to have success in
her work wherever she may go.

Wednesday morning for Texas, where
they will reside in the future.

Rev. S. C. Harris gave a birthday
dinner, to celebrate bis 54th birthday,
last Friday, November 26, which was
attended by all of bis children, who
brought him many nice presents
among other things, a nice overcoat
and pair of shoes.
Mrs. Martha Bramlett gave a tacky
party Thanksgiving night, attended by
Messrs. Henry White, Farlie Giddens,
Joe Padgett, Henry Sams,
John Cash, Jr.; Charlie Martin, Misses
Maude Bevil, Jewel Cash, Gertrude
Bramlett, Lizzie Cash, Ollie Bevil and
Claribel Cash. Miss Maude Bevil and
Mr. Henry Sams received the prizes.
It was the most enjoyable party of the
season, and a great success.
