ings, I hope we will stop and think
for a minute of the one thing we have
so long been neglecting: our little so-
called cemetery. I, for one, am
ashamed of the way we have com
mitted it to the ugly bush and briar.
Now, good people, I think it a perfect
disgrace that our dead parents, friends
and kinsmen have been forgotten. Now
I only hope these thoughts may cause>
the good people of this community to
take action toward cleaning and re
pairing our little cemetery at once.
We are glad to know that Mr. W. C.
Mullins, who has been for some time
lingering with typhoid fever has at last
taken a change for better. We hope
he may soon be well again.
Mr. Henry Wood, our postmaster,
has been confined to his room for sev
eral days with fever, but is improving
at present.
Miss Ruth Hassler took dinner with
her aunt, Miss Fannie Russell, Sun
day.
Mr. Frank Boyd dined with Mr. Paul
Bearden Sunday.
Miss Annie Raun visited friends, and
relatives in North Dalton Friday.
Miss Ella Head took dinner and
spent the afternoon with Miss Ruby
Wood Sunday.

The surprise party given to the
Misses Miller Saturday night was a
grand success. The crowd gathered
about 6:30 o’clock and several inter
esting games were enjoyed, while some
were making candy to pull. After en
joying the candy pulling, the crowd
left, feeling that they had enjoyed the
evening to the fullest extent. Those
