Mrs. Susan Gainus.
God in His love and mercy has taken
her away from this life of suffering,
woe and. misery, into the sweet home
of the soul, where there will be no
more pain or sickness, but where all
will be peace and happiness. We say,
weep not, dear father, mother, brothers
and sisters, for your loved one is far
better in that land of flowers, than
here, for we heard her say that all
was well with her, and., therefore we
believe her at rest in the arms of
Jesus, and for that reason we ask all
loved ones to be ready when the sum

The Murray county fair, held the
last three days of last week at Eton,
proved a most creditable one, especially
when the fact that it was the first
farmers’ fair ever held in the county
is taken into consideration.
The exhibits in the woman’s depart
ment were unusually fine. Old fancy
work, done during slavery days, f was
taken out and carried to the fair, and
these exhibits; alongside the fancy-
work of modern times, made of the
woman’s building a most attractive fea
ture of the fair. This faeture was
equally as good as can be found at any
county fair in the state.
The farmers also showed their in-,
terest in the first fair by bringing in
many fine farm exhibits, and some of
Murray county’s fine live stock was
shown on Friday, the second day of
the fair.
Some interesting horse races were
pulled off, and these, with the amuse
ment features, tended to make the fair
the success it was. The Kadel-Critch-
13 eld company, which is showing at the
local fair this week, made hundreds
of friends by the good shows given
in Eton.
Many Dalton people attended the
fair, all coming away highly pleased
with the good show put over by the
Murray fair association.
Seeing that a fair would prove suc
cessful in Murray county, the associa
tion has planned to broaden out, and
next year will see the fair in a home
of its own.
Mrs. Mary Stone.
At the family home in Carbondale,
August 20, 1914, at 2 o’clock a. m.,
the death angel came, bringing peace
and joy to the soul of Mrs. Mary
Stone, wife of James Stone.
At the time of her death, she was
73 years of age.
To this happy union were born eight
children. The eight, living, were all
at her funeral, which was conducted
by J. W. Austin, at Swamp Creek
church. She was a member of the
Baptist church.
We all had the privilege and pleas
ure of seeing her rejoice in the sweet
service of her Master.
Weep not as those who have no hope.
We feel sure that mother is at rest.
Every one of us has a sweet hope of
meeting her in that glory "world. Let
me suggest, too, that the doctrine of
grace was sweet to mother. She mani
fested that it was" good enough for her
by uniting with the old Baptist church.
If it was good enough for mother, it is
good enough for me.
Her remains were laid to rest in
the Swamp 1 Creek cemetery to await
the great eail which shall complete
the great work of salvation with her.
She leaves a husband and a host of
grandchildren to mourn her death.
A precious one from" us is gone;
A voice we love is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.

•St., Dalton, Ga., says: “My back was
very weak and painful as the result of
exertion. When I stooped or straight
ened, sharp twinges darted through me,
and I had sudden attacks of dizziness.
I have used in all about three boxes of
Doan’s Kidney Pills and have been re
lieved of all these symptoms of kid

kidney sufferers to give Doan's Kidney
Pills a trial.’’

aches—if your kidneys bother you,
don’t simply ask for a kidney remedy
