THE DALTON CITIZEN, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, 1914.
Buy Your Fall Goods Now
While Stocks Are Complete
The merchants, whose names are listed below, have on hand now a decidedly
unusual display of seasonable merchandise. Not fearing the future, they have
bought just as they would have had there been no such thing as a European war.
They have confidence in the ability of the South to weather the storm and come
through with colors flying. They realize that depressed conditions are mainly
imaginary—that when the people stop to think they will shake off their troubles,
buckle down to good, hard work and show their utter independence.
« ‘
CL Consequently they have purchased largely for the fall and winter trade. They j
know all must have certain articles and as a stimulus to tardy trading, they
have marked their goods at close tigures, insuring bargains to buyers.
You MUST have food. You MUST have clothing. You
must have furniture. You must have vehicles. Drugs are
sometimes necessary. Hardware and farm implements
are needed. Millinery, novelties, amusements, print
ing—these you will have. Insurance is a saving.
CL Then there are the banks ready to cooperate with you and eager to do everything to help you.
CL If you will make a resolution—and keep it—to let Europe take care of itself, and will forget
the war, turning your attention to your own individual needs, you’ll be surprised at the way pros
perity will gravitate in your direction.
CL Let’s all get down to work. We’re in good shape. There’s nothing the
matter with our section.
