WHAT CATARRH IS
It has been said that every third
person has catarrh in some form.
Science has shown that nasal catarrh
often indicates a general weakness
of the body; and local treatments in
the form of snuffs and vapors do lktle;
if any good.
To correct catarrh you should treat its
cause by enriching your blood with the
oil-food in Scott’s Emulsion which is a
medicinal food and a building-tonic, free
from alcohol or any harmful drugs. Tryit.

Are we ever going to have another
day that we can work all day? This
is the cry of everyone in our commu

almost afraid to venture into the field,
for fear ojf being bitten by a rattle
snake.
There have been several rattlesnakes
killed in the lowlands this summer.

All Babies Destined
to Great Achievement
To be bom is to be great. For there
are possibilities in .every tiny human in
fant And for this
reason every one
should remember that
whatever Is done to
aid the mother, to re
lieve her of distresses
during her trying
months, will surely be
of marked benefit to
the child.
Among the sterling
aids is a splendid ex
ternal remedy known
as “Mother’s Friend.”
It is what is called an
embrocation. It is ap-
abdominal muscles, gently
rubbed in by your own band guided
by your own mind. It makes the muscles
pliant, tney expand quite naturally and the
effect upon the nerves is such that they ad
just themselves to the process of expansion
so that pain from this source is almost elimi
nated. Women who use “Mother’s Friend"
refer to the absence of morning sickness, they
are relieved of a great many minor dis
tresses, all apprehension disappears and those
jeculiar nervous “fidgets” no longer disturb
he nights. It is well named “Mother’s
Friend.” Get a bottle today of any drug

IN MEMORIAM.
On Monday, June 1, the angels of
heaven came down and took away our
dear Uncle William. Uncle William
was sick about six months before his
death. He was 69 years old. He will
not only be missed in his home, but
ip the community, for he was loved by
all who knew him. It is a sad loss to
the home to give up the dearest one
on earth. It is hard to part with those
we love; but we are glad to say he
was ready to meet _his blessed Savior.
We cannot call him back; but we
have a great consolation: When the
blessed Master shall call for us, we
can go to him.
When we have finished our work
here on this earth, let us all meet in
bur better home in heaven, where there
will be no more partings.
Uncle William leaves a wife, two
children, sister and brothers, -relatives
and a ho'st of friends to mourn his loss.
He was laid to rest in Villanow cem
etery. The funeral was conducted at
his home by Rev. Mr. Veatch.
Written by his niece, Minnie Prince
Conley.
