The Japanese policeman, ever on the lookout for Korean malcontents,
keeps careful watch over every Korean family in his village. This policeman
has every member of this particular Korean family listed and knows prac
tically everything they do from morning untjl night. He makes a daily in
spection of their home.
George Garrison, both of Floyd coun
ty, Ga., and their associates, shows to
the court the following facts:
1st. Petitioners, together with their
associates, , desire to be incorporated
under the name and style of Faultless
Piston Ring Company, for a period of
twenty years, with the right to renew
said charter at the expiration of said
term. The object of said corporation
is pecuniary gain to its stockholders.
Its purposes are to manufacture, buy,
own and sell metal-working machinery
and tools, and metal articles for use
in or connection with machinery of all
or special kinds and such materials
and products as are useful or necessary
to the manufacture, use or sale of
metal articles of manufacture; to make
contracts, to borrow, own and lend
money, to sue and be sued, to plead
and be impleaded; to buy, own, lease
r release, mortgage or sell real estate
and personal or mixed property, in
cluding patents and patent rights
necessary or convenient for the suc
cessful conducting of the business of
said corporation, and to do any and
all acts not contrary to law which may
be necessary to the conduct and opera
tion of said business.
2nd. The principal place of busi
ness of said corporation shall be in
Dalton, Georgia, in said County of
Whitfield, but the petitioners desire
the privilege of establishing and main
taining such branch offices and other
places of business as they may from
time to time decide to establish else
where.
3rd. The capital stock of said
corporation shall be two hundred thou-
and dollars ($200,000.00) divided into
shares of the par value of one hundred
dollars each, but petitions desire the
right to increase the amount of said
capital stock to the sum of one mil
lion dollars or any proportion there
of from time to time as may be decid
ed by the vote of the holders of
a majority of the stock of said corpo-
ation. The corporation to begin busi
ness when ten per cent of the capital
stock has been paid in.
4th. Petitioners desire that said
corporation shall have the right to
elect such officers and directors as it
may deem necessary to manage and
conduct said business; to make and
have all papers, by-laws, rules and
regulations which may be proper and
necessary for the carrying on of said
business also to have and use a eorpo
rate seal.
Wherefore petitioners file this their
petition in the office of the Clerk
of the Superior Court of Whitfield
County, Georgia, and pray that after
the same has been advertised as re
quired toy .law that they may be in
corporated under the name and style
above written with the powers, privi
eges and immunities provided by law,
and as now or hereafter may be allow
ed corporations of similar character
under the laws of Georgia.
GORDON MANN,
Attorney for Petitioners.
Georgia, Whitfield County:
I, C. L. Isbill, clerk of the Superior
Court of Whitfield County, Georgia

boiling throughout the cooking pro
cess. If the meat is put into cold
water deduct half the time required
to bring the water to a boil.
Examples: How long should a 10-
pound ham be boiled if placed in
boiling water? Ten multiplied by
18 equals 180 minutes, or 3 hours.
How long should a 10-pound ham be
boiled if placed in cold water and
if 1 hour is. required to bring the
water to a boil? Ten multiplied by
18 minus 30 equals 150 minutes or
2% hours, after boiling begins.
In applying the rule given above,
the 18 minutes per pound allowance
should be followed in summer as
well as in winter if the meat is tak
en from a refrigerator and cooking
begun before it has had . time to
reach the ordinary house tempera
ture. For high altitudes, where the
temperature of boiling water is con
siderably less than at sea level, the
time of cooking must be lengthened.

TO PROTECT CLOTHES FROM
MOTHS.
To protect woolens, silks, felts,
furs, feathers, and similar materials
from moths, the clothing should be
sunned and beaten if possible. Then
it should be put in trunks or closets
or a cedar chest. After the clothes
have been packed away they should
be fumigated with carbon bisulphide
which can be obtained from the
druggist. One-half pint is enough
for an average size trunk. Pour
the liquid into a plate or other shal
low vessel, put this in the trunk
and close the lid to prevent air cur
rents The liquid quickly evaporates
and the fumes settle in the clothing,
killing any pests that may still be
present. In twenty-four to forty-
eight hours the liquid will have
evaporated. The fumes will not in
jure clothing, food or other mate
rials, but none should be spilled on
clothing for upon drying the liquid
leaves a yellow sulphur-like deposit.
The fumes are highly inflammable so
that fire must be kept away from the
chest or away from any receptacle
containing the carbon bisulphide.
After the clothing has been treat
ed, naphthalene crystals, both balls
or camphor balls may be distributed
among the clothing to repel moths
which might otherwise migrate into
the chest during the summer. If re-
pellments are not used, it is best to
fumigate again with carbon bisulp
hide in about four weeks. Any arti-
