Several of the young folks of this valley attended a singing and water melon cutting at Mr. J. T. Dedmon’s Saturday night. Mr. Dan Chapman, of Pleasant Val ley, spent part of last week with rela tives here. Mr. and Mrs. Ward, of Chattanooga, spent Sunday with Mr. John Brown and family. Little Dot Bryant is on the sick list this .week. Miss Lena Bryant leaves today for Athens where she goes to meet with her canning club. We wish her much pleas ure on her trip.
