IN MEMORIAM.
J. H. Reynolds.
On Sunday morning, Oct. 23, the
death angel visited our home and took
our darling husband and father.
He gave himself to Christ 43 years
ago, and from that time on lived a
true and noble Christian of the Bap
tist church.
Father was past 72 years of age and
was a stout man until just before his
death. iHe suffered like no one can tell
until a short time before he passed
away; 'but God saw best to take him
out of his suffering to a higher place
than this.
We miss him. How sad and lonely,
our home is. His footsteps are silenced.
Father can’t come back to us; we can
meet him in a better world than this.
O! how sad it is to look around and
not see father’s dear face and hear
his sweet voice.
A precious one from us is gone;
A voice we loved is still;
A place is vacant in our home
That never can be filled.
Father leaves to mourn his loss a
.wife, eight children—four sons and
four daughters—besides a host of
grandchildren, friends and relatives.
The funeral services were conducted
by Rev. Oscar Davis -at Crown View

advertised in a newspaper and took it with good results, and am now
do my housework. I recommend your medicine to my friends and yon may
publish my testimonial.”—Mrs. Chester A. Ball, R. 15, Fayette, Ohio.
An Illinois woman relates her experience:
Bloomington, 111.—“ I was never very strong and female trouble kept me
so weak 1 had no interest in my housework. I had such a backache I could
not cook a meal or sweep a room without raging with pain. Rubbing my
back with alcohol sometimes eased the pain for a few hoars, but did not stop
it. I heard of Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound, and six bottles of it
have made me as strong and healthy as any woman; and I give my thanka to
it for my health.”—Mrs. J.A.McQditty, 610 W.Walnut St.,Bloomington, Ill.
The conditions described by Mrs. Cassen, Mrs. Ball, and Mrs. McQuitty will
appeal to many women who struggle on with their daily tasks in just such con-
, ditions—in fact, it is said that the tragedy in the livesof some women is almost
beyond belief. Day in and day out they slave in their homes for their families
—and beside the daily routine of housework, often make clothes for them
selves and for their children, or work in their gardens, all the while suffering
from those awful bearing-down pains, backache, headaches, nervousness, the
blues, and troubles which sap the very foundation of life until there comes a
time when nature gives out and an operation seems inevitable. If such
women would only profit by the experience of these three women, and remem
ber that Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound is the natural restorative
for such conditions it may save them years of suffering and unhappiness.
There is hardly a neighborhood in any town or hamlet in the United States
wherein some woman does not reside who has been restored to health by this
famous medicine. Therefore ask your neighbor, and you will find in a great
and herb medicine hasbeen restoring suffering women to health and strength.
_ Lydia E. Pinkham’s Private Text-Book upon "Ailments Pecu-
liarto Women” will be sent to you free upon request. Write

On October 14th, 1921, the death
angel came to the home of J- J. Mallett,
and the gentle spirit of the loving
father was wafted back to the God
who gave it.
He was born July 24, 1947.
Mr. Mallett in early life professed a
faith in Christ, joined .the Baptist
church, and throughout his life was a
true, devoted and active Christian man.
His influence was a benediction in the
home, and he loved the church with
a loyalty that was beautiful and that
was an inspiration.
He was sympathetic, kind and pa
tient, and his going away will be great
ly missed. Truly a good man has gone.
The bible was his daily guide for
more than forty years.
Surviving him are his seven children,
four sons, and three daughters, twenty-
five grandchildren, and three great
grandchildren. \
WIe who were once made happy by
his sunny presence are now made sad
and lonely; but we pray that the
Father of all sufficient grace comfort
our broken hearts; the void thus made
is by His providence, that some glad
day, and bright tomorrow we shall
hear his dear sweet voice and clasp
his hands on that bright celestial
shore.
We would say to the bereaved ones,
weep not as one having no hope, but
look to the One that doeth all things

well for those who love and serve Him.
It will only be a short space of time
until the same God will come for us,
too. Whether prepared or unprepared,
we must all go when the summons
come.
When the silence, the- glow in the
west and the gathering shadows speak
of the day that is gone, then we real
ize what a day has been with its good
ness and its blessings. So it is to
the end of Mr. Mallett’s life with the
deeds of kindness, the forgetfulness

Rev. Shugart, of Dalton, conducted
the funeral services.
He was laid to rest in West -Hill
cemetery, by the side of his wife who
was his faithful companion for fifty-
one years, there to await the resurrec
tion mom.
Farewell, dear father, but not forever;
There will be a glorious dav?n;
There we’ll meet to part, no, never,
On the resurrection morn.

In memory of our dear sister, Miss
Emma Sims, who departed this life
September 17, 1921.
She leaves _a father, three ‘brothers
and one sister to mourn her loss; but
we know our loss is heaven’s gain.
She was a member of Crown View
Baptist church and a devoted Chris
tian, a lovine friend and one we all
learned to love. There are many who
will remember the Sunday school
teacher who taught them the way to
Christ and will grow to be better men
and women because of their teacher
who was so faithful in her work for
the Master.
We wish to say to the bereaved ones
we feel sure hers was a true Christian
life, and as such she will receive the
reward of life everlasting.
At the time of her death she was
with her sister, Mrs.Guss Conkle.
May God’s richest blessing rest with
this family, for tij&j dig ul 'i
