We haven’t had much hog-killing weather of late; but we are all wish ing for cold weather to come around so we can have fresh meat. Mr. L. M. Babb has given the use of his sawmill to cut lumber for our new school building, and the men have cut logs and sawed most of the lumber for the building. Everybody is putting shoulders to the wheel and pushing forward for a nice school building, which every com munity needs. We are planning on getting it completed by the first of the year. Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Dillingham have moved to Atlanta to the regret of their friends. They made many MT. PLEASANT. A special “home-coming” will be featured next Sunday at Harmony church, and a large attendance is de sired. There will be an interesting program lasting all day, with “dinner on the ground” at noon. Our teacher, Mrs. Edd King, is giving lessons in millinery and dressmaking. The class is learning rapidly in millinery. Several scholars have made and trimmed their own hats. Mrs. L. G. C. Judd has giren the club members work on bed spreads. She is giving them a good price and is going to use the profits to pay off the indebtedness of the Maples Memo rial restroom, of which all many friends while here, and we hate to see them move away. t Mrs. George Summey is visiting rel atives and friends at Spring Place. Mr. Smith, of Gordon county, is vis iting his sister, Mrs, R. L. Curtis, at this place. Miss Beatrice Williams visited, friends at Tunnel Hill last week. Mr. Daniel Queen, of near Cohutta, spent one night last week with Mr. L. C. Babb. Mrs. Claud Hackney and Miss Annie Cavender went to town one day last week.
