MOTHER, QUICK! GIVE CALIFORNIA FIG SYRUP FOR CHILD’S BOWELS Even a sick child loves the “fruity” taste of “California Fig Syrup.” If the little tongue is coated, or if your child is listless, cross, feverish, full of cold, or has colic, a teaspoonful will never fail to open the bowels. In a few' hours you can see for yourself how thoroughly it works all the constipation poison, sour bile and waste from the tender, little bowels and gives you a well, playful child again. Millions of mothers keep ..“California Fig Syrup” handy. They know a tea spoonful today saves a sick child to morrow. Ask your druggist for genuine “California Fig^Syrup” which has -direc tions for babies and children of all ages printed on bottle. Mother! So many people like to give “a knock” at our hospital in Dalton—not because of its equipment, not for lack of proficiency, but just because it is here at home^ They say , “Go to Cha.- tanooga, Atlanta or somewhere else.” But I say I’d rather risk my own home physician who has an interest and a prayer for each of his patients. Peo ple don’t stop to think of the good that is done. Thank God for the blessing of such an institution here among us! Our community Thanksgiving ser vices were a joy long to be remember ed by all present. Brother Williams, of Dalton, preached at 11 a. m. and delivered a very interesting discourse. The school children’s program was in the afternoon, which was very sweet and impressive. ‘“Grandpa” Kettles, of Crow Valley, had a suprise awaiting him on Thanksgiving day which also fell on his 74th birthday. All his children and grand-children, except his son, Harry, whose little girl is in the hos pital, were there to celebrate and make glad the heart of their father and grandfather by their gifts as little tokens of love. W!hat happiness and joy to have the family gathered around the old hearthstone once more! Mr. Sam Watts, of Chattanooga^ is spending a' few days with his niece, Mrs. Nellie Farmer. Mrs. Redwine’s father is with her this week. The singing at Mrs. W. F. Hyatt’s Sunday night was enjoyed by all pres ent. Everybody, remember our Sunday school at 10 o’clock and come, one and all.
