JHURSDAY, DECEMBER 22, 1921
ror a great many months we have been advertising for sale “Gifts that Last.”
But there are other gifts that last longer than silver or gold. They are the gifts of words
that encourage, hands that help and hearts that love. One’s Christmas does not consist
in the abundance of the things he receives or gives, but in the spirit of good will that
fills his heart. Along with a few gifts with a price let us give a few that are priceless.
Let us give a thought to some one who needs it; sympathy to some one who craves it;
praise to someone who deserves it; kindness to someone the world has overlooked; love
to some one who is starving for it; inspira tion to some one who is fainting for lack of
it. Then shall our Christmas be happy and our gift worthy of a.big heai't that compas
ses the lowly and needy in its affectionate interest.
Do not forget the Empty Stocking Fund. In
many ways we are more fortunate this year
than other sections, but we too have little
ones who will not enjoy the spirit of the
Prince of Peace, if we do not help and that
help must come now. In the 2000 years,
the words are still true, “It is more blessed
to give than to receive.”
Have you ever had a fever and had some
one put a cool hand on your tortured head
and feel that relief, that soothing touch?
By buying Red Cross Seals you will be sup
plying the funds to furnish that hand to
some one who' needs that hand badly. Buy
Red Cross Seals, for it’s help is world wide.

HOW to TAKE the WORRY
Prompt Action Is Pleasing Many
Dalton People.
TOMORROW
Get down to the cause of every
thing.
Bad backs are frequently caused by
weak kidneys.
Help the kidneys to get rid of kidney
backache.
Doan’s Kidney Pills are for the kid
neys only.
No time wasted trying to cure other
troubles.;
Dalton people endorse^their merit.
Ask your neighbor. *
Mrs. J. H. Harris. 4 S. Depot St.,
Dalton, says:. “I was down on my
back with kidney trouble, and couldn’t
even move without being in misery. I
sometimes screamed with pains. My
kidneys didn’t act properly, my head
ached and I was in pretty bad shape.
I began taking Doan’s Kidney Pills and
when I. had taken a few I felt relieved,
Continued use entirely cured me and
I felt like a different person.”

Rich, Red Blood Built Up
by Pepto-Mangan—
Liquid or Tablet
Blood is strong and full of living
vigor when there are plenty of red
cells in it. Anaemic people have little
strength because there are not enough
red cells in the blood. It is thin and
watery. Weak blood makes faces pale,
pulls down the strength and leaves the
body tired, weak, and sickly.
A course in Gude’s Pepto-Mangan re
stores weak blood to its normal
strength. Taken regularly for a while
it adds red , cells to the blood. Then
with good blood, the strength and!
vigor of health return. There i§ pleas
ure in living, with good blood running
through the veins. Gude’s Pepto-Man-
gau is put up . in liquid and in tablet
form. They are the same medicinally.
Physicians have prescribed Gude’s,
Pepto-Mangan for years. The. name
“Gude’s Pepto-Mangan” is on the pack
age.—Adv.
