Mulone, on last Teusday. The opinion of the court, efllraatg the judgment of the court below, was delivered by Judge Warner is lengthy and elaborate The last hope oi tfie n9B r tk*rer for escape under the law is gone. The hlfiQdy ipur r derer now languishes iu his dungeon, and doubt less awaits with trepidation the lust eveni of his life.” Judge Warner, in deliverit g the opinion of the court, took the tccasiou to use the following strong language: 1 This court will avail itself of the piesent occasion to announce to the public from this Bench, with all the emphasis which its judgement'eau impart, that provoca’ion by words threat, menaces or eonUuiptous gestures will In ho case be sufficient to free a person who kill* another by shooting him from the guilt and crime of murder. The law so declares, and it is the imperative duty of the-the Courts to to administer it, for the protecticu of society ind human life. Mere words, threats, menaces oi contemptoua gestures ate no considerable provocation ib tba eye ol the law, aud therefore malice abail be im plied.” vO* • Atlanta Herald.— The Sunday’s issue ot the above named paper contained ninety-six colurus of matter, forty-seven ot which were advertise ments. The amount o! labor and money necessa rily required to get out such a paper in so short u time is hardly comprehended by its numerous readers. The energy end ability displayed in this enterprise is commendable and should be encour aged and supported by the people. ** A New Daily Paper to be Established. — Col. Carey W. Siyh.-s, of the Albany News, an nounces bis intention to commence the publica tion of anew daily paper in a short time. The character of Col. Style?, as an able writer, boid thinker, and his leailess vindication of the right, Las been acknowledged and tecognized for a num ber of years. The recognition of his successful career as a journalist, lies teen ivwar ied on many occasions. We have no doubt but that his new eutei prise will be successful. We sincerely hope that nothing may deter hint from the prosecution ot IMs new project. SPECIAL NOTICES. Undeveloped Vigor. —The feeble and de bilitated usually fancy they me in a more hopeless condition than they really arc. The resources ol nature are not eariiy rxkausled. Even when strength and appttite f*i', when the eyes are heavy and lustreless, the complexion pall'd, the neives tremulous, the body attenuated, and the mind depressed, thtre is gem rally a reserve ot latent power behind such palpable evidences of weakness. Various inodes ot treatment are re sorted to by physicians In the hope of developing and rendering available this store of sleeping vi tality, but tbe surest, and indeed the only thor oughly safe and reliable means of awakening the dormant energits of ihe sy-tem is a course of Hostetler’s Stomach Bitters. Electricity, shower baths, the flesh trush, sea bathing, etc., may be well enough in their way as auxiliaries, but they do tot reach the souice ot the evil. All physical debility proceeds cither from a derange ment of the functions of the assimilating, secre tive and vital organs, or lrom a sluggish consti tution. In either case, and also in cases where both causes exist, the bitters will invariably pro duce an immediate and salutary change in the condition of the patient, aud etentnally effect a complete cure. None of the danserous alkaloids, too often administered es tonics, can be other wise than deleterious uuder such circumstances, and to give mercury is positively criminal. The direct effect of the great*vegetable specific will be manifested iu an improved appetite, a more cheer ful frame of miud, a gradual return of strength, an increase oi flesh, and a healthier complexion. Meanwhile, however, the constitution, if inert and feeble, will have been routed and renovated by the subtle elements of iuvigoration contained iu tbe Bitters. Pratt's Astrai. Oil.—Absolutely safe. Per fectly odeiless. Always uuilorin. Illuminating qualities superio- to gas. Burns in any lamp without danger of exploding or taking fire. Manufactured expressly to displace the use ol vol atile and daugerous oils. Its safety under every possible tt st, and its perfect burning qualities, are proved by its continual use in 300,000 tamilies. Millions ot gallons have been sold aud no acci dent—directly or iudireetly— has ever occurred from burning, storing or handling it. The immense yearly loss to life and properly, resulting trom cheap and dangerous oils iu the United States is cppaling. The Isuranee Companies and Fire Commission ers throughout the country recommend the AS TRAL as the best safeguard when lamps are used.
