Views of the World’s Fair Build¬
ings.
During Wednesday, Thursday and Fri¬
day nights of last week, Dr. L. B. Clif¬
ton, of Macon, entertained a number of
our people at the court house with pho¬
tographic views of the grounds and build¬
ings as they appeared at the great world’s
fair at Chicago last year. The photo¬
graphs were taken by the instantaneous
process and were so perfect as to give
quite a correct idea of the real as the
pictures were thrown on the canvass
through the camera. The views were
indeed so realistic that the lookers on
could readily imagine themselves on the
world’s fair grounds looking upon the
that surroundings, city of show and taking a stroll through
and magnificence, com¬
posed of people, styles of architecture
and exhibits from every part of the civ¬
ilized world.

your tooth to me, and let me show you

Business Reviving.
The usual summer dullness in
circles is passing away.
Cotton is now coming into market
ginning being sold and business is be¬
to revive. There was more
activity week pointing among our people last
to business than has
been observable for some time.
The daily increasing cotton receipts
are an assurance that the activity
among our business men will con¬
tinue to grow. The selling of cot¬
ton in circulation, by the farmers will put money
and money scattered
through the country among the
people always gives life to busi¬
ness.
Notwithstanding there have been
some draw backs on the cotton in
this section, yet the indications are
that a good cotton crop will be
realized. This fact coupled with
the further fact that our farmers
generally have created less indebt¬
edness this year than usual is in¬
dicative of a fair business duiing
the present season. The close
economy being practiced by the
working people of this country, in
conjunction with the promises in
other fields gives hope of a bright¬
er future and a coming of prosper¬
ity in this section.
