Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Geor¬ gia, and it is hereby enacted by authority of the same, That from and after the passage of this Act it shall be unlawful for any per¬ son to have or carry about his per¬ son, in any county in the State of Georgia, any pistol or revolver without first taking out a license from the Ordinary of the respective -counties in which the party resides before such person will be at lib¬ erty to carry around with him on his person, or to have in his man¬ ual possession outside of his o home or place of business, provid¬ ed that nothing in this Act shall be construed to alter, affect or amend any laws now in force in this State relative to the carrying of concealed weapons on or about one’s person, and provided further that this shall not apply to sher¬ iffs, marshalls, or other arresting officers of this State of United States, who are now allowed by law to carry revolvers; nor to any of the militia of the State while in service or upon duly; nor to any students of military colleges or schools when they are m the discharge of their duty at such •colleges. SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That the Ordinary of the reepec tive counties of this State ii ■which the applicant resides may grant such liceuae, either in term time or during vacation, upon the application of party or person de siring to apply for such licence, provided applicant shall be at least eighteen years old or over, and shall give a bond, payable to the Govorner of the State, in the sum of-one hundred dollars, con ditioned upon the proper and legi¬ timate use of said weapon, with a surety approved by the Ordinary of said county, and the Ordinary granting the license Bhall keep a record of the name of the person taking out such license, the name of the firearm to be carried, anc the caliber and number of the same. :? SEC. 3. The person making such application, and to whom such license is granted, shall pay to the Ordinary for granting saic license the sum of fifty cents which license shall cover a perioc of three years from date of grant¬ ing same. SEC. 4. Be it further enacted, That any person violating any of. the provisions of the above Act shall be punished as for a misde¬ meanor, as prescribed in Section 1039 of the Penal Code of 1895 and amendments thereto. SEC. 5. Be it further enacted, That all laws aud parts of laws in conflict of this Act be aud the same are hereby repealed. Approved August 12, 1910, JOSEPH M. The beautiful colonial home was fitting frame for the delightful hospitality shown the guests An absence of all floral decorations, except a few chrysanthemums, added to the grandnre of the rooms for beauty unadorned is the most beautiful. Refreshments consisting of cakes, cream, bon honsand coffee were served in hand painted china, embellished by the hostess. Mrs. Rutherford was gowned in mauve chiffon over silk.
