NKW TOHK. PAHIS. To Mail Orderers The Mail Order Department was never so thoroughly organized—and never so active. The corps of helpers are loyal to our inter¬ ests and to yours and business moves along wi h fewer and fewer hitches and blunders, and less friction and complication. Store discipline clearly controls our relations with out-of-town customers. The managerial head, heart and hands are continuously involved in their service. Modern Mail Order Business Is Devel¬ oped Rapidly and Sturdily Along the Lines of Fair Ethics and Methods. Inquiries are not treated carelessly. Every application for information is considered seri¬ ously and answered intelligently. The reaction of a hedging, wavering, temporizing policy would cost us much in friends aud dollars. We must keep growing, even as the oak. Our whole soul and body are thrown into the work. No effort is counted too laborious if it promises re¬ sults. The compensation justifies the endeav¬ ors. There are no rusty nails to give our Mail Order business lockjaw. We are too alert and vigilant for that. Even mistakes have their uses. Every error is utilized to correct an error. The Probability Is That We Will Choose for You Better Than You Can Choose for Yourself. That’s because the men and women engaged hv us to represent you are competent and con¬ scientious. They are instinctive and trained judges of merchandise—people of faultless taste—inspired by a kind of psychological intu¬ ition that gives them a perfect grasp of your needs. And their own business success is dependent upon winning your approval. That’s a strong incentive for them to give your requests pains¬ taking attention. Dear Editor Here I am away down in ‘‘Sun¬ ny Florida,” and very pleasant L find it too, as the weather here is just splendid aud in dear old Mon¬ roe I kupw ’tis cold. Three weeks ago, there was a terrible storm out on the ocean and we felt it here, ’twas really fierce. The wind blew nearly all of the water out of Hillsboro river aud also Port Tam¬ pa. While at Cuba it did lots of damage. Lots of lives were lost aud several vessels sank. In our immediate vicinity, w© fired very well. Several houses were blown down. Thonotassa is situated on the* beautiful Thonotassa Lake. The only lake in Florida with a white beach all around it. The lake is one mile and a half wide and sev¬ en miles around. So you see it is quite a large lake with beautiful; homes near it The lake abounds in fish-trout aud such like. Wff have fine times rowing and fishing The orange packing season h- s begun and our little city has tak¬ en on quite a business aspect.. Lots of orange buyers from the north and packers from all over the union ale here. Some of the very finest greives in Florida are here. It is a beau¬ tiful sight to see large orange trees hanging with yellow oranges. I have seen oranges, grapefruit,, tangerines and maugariues afl on one tree. In the election ‘‘Florida went wet” but this county went dry. My school is situated on the southern edge of the city. I have twenty pupils and everything is nice. We have a fine library. I will bid you adieu for this time As ever. Lollie Abernathy, Thonotassa, Fla LOANS on REAL ESTATE LONG TERM LOW INTEREST R. L. Williams, Jr Attorney At Law. THF LOCAL COTTON MARKET.
