GRAND OPERA PROGRAM.
Gratified by its reception dur
ing three successive visits, and
faithful to its promise to confine
its activities to New York and At
tanta, Mr. Giulio Gatti-Casazza,
general manager of the Metropoli
tan Opera Company, takes pleas
ure in announcing that arrango
tnents have been completed for its
fourth season of grand opera at
the auditorium during the week
beginning April 81. Ihe local
management, as heretofore, will
be in the hands of the Atlanta
Music Festival Association, which
lias done so much to foster Musi
cal Art throughout the South and
make Atlanta one of the import
ant operatic centers of the country
Four evening and three after

has sought to please all tastes.
The public will have an oppor

new artists of the first rank will
■nake their debuts before Atlanta
audiences, while a glance over
the roster of stars will discover
the names of eminent artists who
have already won their way into
the hearts of the South’s music
lovers.
It is quite unnecessary to enter
into further details as to the char
acter of the performances prom
ised. The Metropolitan Opera
Company is a household word in
Atlanta. Mr. Gatti-Casazza can
only repeat his assurance that, as
on former occasions, the full re
sources of this, admittedly the
the greatest operatic organization
in the world, will be utilized, and
as far as physical conditions will
permit, the performances will

METHODIST COLLEGES UNITE.
According to reports coming
from Mocon the three Method its
Schools, Wesleyan Female Col
lege. La Grange Female College
and Andrew Female College, of
Cuthbert, are to be united under
one administrative head. This
plan has received the endorsement
of the Boards of Trustees of the
two former institutions and of
the Executive Board of the latter,
but the confirmation of the con
ferences is necessary to the final
consummation of the project.
While the change cannot be of
ficially effective until confirmed
by the North and South Georgia
Methodist Conferences, work will
begin this spring on correlating
the course of study of the three
institutions to become effective
at the opening next fall. The
conferences hold their annual
sessions in December.
The Wesleyan Female College
is owned and controlled by the
North and South Georgia Con
ferences, together with the Fiori
idu Methodist Conference. The
La Grange Female College is own
ed and controlled by the North
Georgia Conference and the An
drew Female College by the South
Georgia Conference. By the coal
ition of the three it is believed
that it will afford better educa
tional advantages for the daugh
ters of Methodists of the South
east. It is tentatively planned to
have Wesleyan College as the
graduate institution of the three,
' where the junior and senior liter
ary work will be taken. Certifi
will be given from the other two.

Wait Paint.
Their are painters and waiters.
Which am I going to do? Paint or

Which is better?
How' much am I worth with my pro

Will my house be worth more or less
if I paint?
Say it costs $2.25 a gallon Devoe—l
wouldn’t paint any other —and $3 or $4
more for putting it on. That’s sso or

The money is gone. Is it in the

Suppose I were selling; what should
I get for that house fresh-painted and
what should I get for it needing paint?
