Laura Gregory; Said land levied on and to be

County Ca. in favor of Rutherford-Phinazee

R, BJ Stephens and Geo. L. Alexander execu
tors of Mrs, M. E. Alexander deceased to a
tract of land described in copy of bond for
title attached to her application and alleging
in her petition that the law has been fully
complied with. This is therefore to notify you
and each of you that her application to have
said Executor to make her a deed as asked
for will be heard on the Ist Monday in April
1913.

PETITION FOR CHARTER.
GEORGIA—Monroe County:
To the Superior Court of said county. J. M.
Ponder and S. Rutherford, both residents of
said County of Monroe, respectfully represent
to the Court:
1. That they desire for themselves, and
such other persons as may hereafter become
associated with them, and their successors to
I be incorporated under the name and style of
The Middle Georgia Loan and Trust Company
for a period of twenty years, with the privilege
of renewal at the end of that period of time,
2. The amount of the capital stock of said
corporation is to be five thousand dollars, di
vided into fifty shares of one hundred dollars
each, but your petitioners desire the privilege
of increasing the amount of said capital stock
from time to time, in the discretion of the
stockholders, to an amount not exceeding the
sum of one hundred thousand dollars. More
than ten per cent of said capital stock has al
ready been paid in.
3. The object of the proposed corporation
is pecuniary gain to its stockholders, and the
business proposed to be carried on by said
corporation is as follows:
I (a) Petitioners propose to do the business
lof a regular saving institution, receiving de
posits, not subject to check, and paying inter
est to such depositors at such rate as may be
agreed upon, with the right to lend money on
real estate, personal property or other security,
in any county in the State of Georgia, taking
therefor notes, with or without indorsement,
mortgages, deeds, deeds to secure debt, trans
fered executions, or other form of security, in
their discretion, and charging interest thereon
at a rate not to exceed the highest rate allowed
by law, for such periods of time as may be
agreed upon between said corporation and its
borrowers, aggregating the principal and inter
est of such loans for the whole period thereof
at the date of the same, and to collect the same
by monthly or other installments, as may be
agreed upon with such borrowers, without re
bate or reduction, provided not more than the
legal rate of interest shall be charged; such
contracts and securities to be valid and binding
for the full amount of principal and interest
so charged and not to be held or deemed to be
usurious: pursuant to the provisions of sections
2878 et sequitur of the Georgia Code of 1910,
and the Act of the Legislature approved August
15, 1910 amendatory thereof.
(b) To buy, sell, own and deal in any real
or personal property, for their own account, or
as agent or trustee the account of others, char
ging reasonable compensation byway of com
mission or otherwise for such services when
acting for or representing others: to develop
and improve real estate, acting either for them
selves or on behalf of others, by constructing
or causing to be constructed thereon dwellings,
buildings, buildings, or improvements of any
kmd that may tend to increase the value
thereof.
(c) To negotiate loans on either real or
personal property, acting as agent for others,
and charging reasonable compensation there
for; to buy and sell stocks, bonds, and securi
ties of all kinds on their own behalf, or to do
so on behalf of others, charging therefor such
fair and reasonable compensation as may be
agreed upon with the persons for whom they
act.
(d) To act as Executor, administrator,
guardian or trustee in the management of the
estates of deceased persons, minors, lunatics or
other cestui que trustent, receiving therefor
such compensation as may be allowed by law
where the same is fixed by law, or such as may
be agreed upon with the persons at whose in
stance they may so act.
(e) To prepare make and furnish abstracts
of title to rea' or personal property and gua
rantee title to same, with authority to charge
therefor such reosonable fees as may be agreed
upon with the person or corporation at whose
instance they may so act.
(f) And generally to do and perform all
other acts and things as may be usual or cus
tomary in connection with either or all of the
businesses hereinbefore enumerated or such as
may legitimately pertain to the proper conduct
thereof.
(4) The principal office and place of busi
ness of said corporation is to be in the Ci:y
of Forsyth, Monroe County, Georgia, but peti
tioners desire the privilege of carrying on busi
ness of said corporation in any City, town or
village, or county in Georgia, or at any place
without the State of Georgia, at their option,
and to that end they desire the right to appoint
agents, correspondents, attorneys and other re
presentatives with authority to carry on the
business of said corporation under the super
vision and direction of the proper aurhority of
said corporation at such points either within or
without the State of Georgia as may be deem
ed best.
Wherefore the premises considered, your
petitioners pray that they, their associates and
successors, be made a body corporate, under
the name and style aforesaid, with all the
rights, powers, privileges and immunities, and
subject to all the liabilities provided by law in
such cases.
