DILLARDS.
Mr. Editor, if your honorable Mayor
will just step out here, I think he will
find that missing well, not far from us.
There is a rut large enough to sink a
ship in, near the residence of J. B.
Edwards. Anyway, we ean accommo
date all the “dirt” you can send us,
by giving it a resting place in our
numerous mud holes.
Little Joe asks: “What is the dif
ference between a bad boy and a post
age stamp. “We lick the boy with a
stick, and we stick the stamp -with a
lick. Is that correct!
Now I’ll ask you one. Why is a
straw hat like a kiss ovtr the tele
phone!
Miss Edalgo spent. Saturday night
and Sunday with Mrs. J. B. Edwards.
Mrs. G. B. Lunsford called on Mrs.
G. H. Carley Saturday eve.
Miss Mae Johnson is spending the
week w’ith her cousin, Mrs. R. C. By
ars, of Log Wall.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Edwards and lit
tle Miss Mattie Sue were in Forsyth
Monday.
Somebody asked “What is smaller
than an ant’s mouth!” I guess it
must be his tongue, eh?
Mr. J. M. Byars went to Forsyth
Thursday on business.
R. C. Byars of Log Wall wade a pop
call at Mr. R. M. Johnson’s Sunday.
Well, the rain has been with us a
gain the past week, and “nothin’ do
in’,” as usual. It is beginning to look
quite curious to the poor farmers, who
have accomplished practically nothing
in planting their crops. 0, yes, I for
got; I passed a field of corn yesterday
on Col. Person’s farm above the Blue
store, that was up and growing, at least
enough to be seen.

Cough Medic 'ne for Children.
T 10 much care cannot be used in se
lecting a cough medicine for children.
It should be pleasant to take, contain
no harmful substance and be most ef

HOLLY GROVE.
We had our party at Mr. A. L. Cald
well’s last Monday night. A large
crowd attended. It was. given for a
tacky party, but just a few dressed
“tacky.”
Mr. T. N. Davis missed some of his
fine long necked hens that night, and
suspicion fell on the crowd who attend
ed the party, especially those who
came by his house that night.
Miss Sarah Chambliss returned home
Wednesday from Atlanta, and was ac
companied by her sister, Mrs. J. W.
Brumby, who spent the week end with
her mother, Mrs. Mollie Chambliss.
Mr. A. A. Chambliss spent Saturday
night at Juliette.
Miss Nellie Williamson spent several
days with her brothers, Mr. 0. M. Wil
liamson, of Bolingbroke.
Mr. A. L. Caldwell bought a nice
young mule last week.
Mr. Barnie Dukes made a business
trip to Jackson last week.
Mr. C. S. Williamson and W, G. Tarp
ley spent Thursday night in Forsyth
with Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Browning.
Rev. and Mrs. J. C. Davis and Miss
Vashti Davis of Milner, Ga., are vis
iting Mr. and Mrs. T. N. Davis this
week.
Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Taylor and son
spent Sunday P. M. with Mr. and Mrs.
T. N. Davis.
A red fox passed through Mr. A. A.
Chambliss yard Sunday P. M., and was
witnessed by several eyes.
On account of the bad weather the
congregation at Holly Grove was small
Sunday.
The musical entertainment given by
L. F. Taylor at the residence of T. N.
Davis was largely attended.
Mr. Charlie Kimball has recovered
after a serious case of tht mumps. Will
soon be able to be out with J. R. Wat
kins remedies again.
Mr. J. H. Ellis -was in Forgyth on
business one day last week.
I will close by asking a riddle: What
is the difference between a crust of
bread and a hobo?
There will be preaching at Holly
Grove Sunday. Every one cordially
invited. BILLY T.

The Easy Laxative
In justice to yourself you should try Rexall Orderlies, — your
money back if you don’t like them. They are a candy con
fection that really do give easy relief from constipation.
Good health ia largely dependent
upon the bowels. When they become
•luggish the waste material that is
thrown off by the system accumu
lates. This condition generates
poisons which circulate throughout
the body, tending to create coated
tongue, bad breath, headache, dull
brain action, nervousness, biliousness
and other annoyances.
Avoid harsh cathartics and physics.
They give but temporary relief.
They often aggravate the real trouble.
They are particularly bad for chil
dren, delicate or aged persons.
Corno in tablet form, taste just liko
candy and aro noted for their easy,
soothing action upon the bowels.
They don’t purge, gripe, causo
nausea, looseness, nor the inconven
iences attendant upon the use of
purgatives. Their action is so pleas
ant that the taking of Kexall Order
lies almost becomes a desire instead
of a duty.
Children liko Rexnll Orderlies.
They are ideal for aged or delicate
