headlines: FLORSHEIM Shoes on

looking they could win a beauty
contest; they’re comfortable

they’re selling fast and furious;
the price sets the record for

PRETTY PARTY FOR CHILDREN
! On Monday morning from 10 to
' 12, little Miss Georgia Taylor enter
tained at a Sewing Party in honor of
' little Miss Frances King of West
। Palm Beach, inviting just the
“chums” of Frances.
Here and there, in the home, were
vases of nodding sunflowers ancj
greenery.
When the guests were seated in a
“sewing circle,” Georgia announced
they would have a game of “Thim
ble” first thing. Imagine the surprise
when told, “Rise, Thimble, go to 1
work”, each little guest found she
had a pink or white thimble as little
favors. After sewing a bit amid
merry chatter of “olden times” and
munching apples the while, they
ceased to Work and engaged in gam
es and little stunts dear to their
hearts. Then they were invited to be
seated again, and were refreshed
with cream and “tangs”—like grown
ups. As the clock was striking
twelve, they departed, declaring they
had had such a good time together
once more.
Those invited to make merry with
Georgia were: Frances King, Mary
Earle Goodwyne, Louisa Stephens,
Henryette Searcy, Elizabeth Ander
son and Carolyn Henderson.
