U. C. T’s Meet Here in May 1915.
The United Commercial Travelers
of Georgia and Florida meet in
Gainesville next May. and because
this convention will be the largest
our city ha- ever entertained with
the exception of the Odd Fellows
in 1913. much publicity will be given
the event and every loyal Gaines
villian will be called on to assist in
making this one of the greatest oc
casions we have ever had.
'"Five years have passed since this
order convened in this part of the
state, and then Athens did the
honors in a style typical of the “Old
South." As there will be from 400
to GOOguests we must begin elaborate
preparations for the liveliest bunch
of commercial travelers in the
country. Gainesville will have to
put forth some effort to compete
with the hospitality as shown this
convention by cities like Athens,
Tampa. Fla.. Atlanta. Savannah,
and .Jacksonville.
Begin plans now for this conven
vention. Have your purse open and
ready to help when the committee
on arrangements calls to see you.
Help make next May 21, 22, and
23 the gala week of 1915.
