Accident-
On last Saturday evening, while our fol
low-townsman, John itunn, Esq., was ri
ding through town at Gilpin speed his
horse ran over a cow, and threw him, re *
itvg his collar bone and ann. We are glad
to see that he is up and recovering.

Our ianclum was invadrd one day last
week, by our philanthropic and scientific
friend, Dr. B. F. Rea, of LnFayette, Ala.
We were pleased to see him in good health

The Spring Term of our Superior court
convened on Monday last, Judge Foster
presiding. In addition to our talented bar.
we noticed in attendance, Eol. Loftin, Os

Orawfordvile, Col Wingfield, of Eatouton,
and McDaniel of Monroe,
A quantity of business was disposed of,
without much litigation. No important
cases were on hand.
The attendance from the country was not
as large ts usual. We were pleased to see
