Johnson has arranged a special schedule for a train over the JJaco# and Augusta R. R. during the State Fair. As •will be seen from a letter to Dr. King, which we publish elsewhere, parties, who desire to attend the Fair can take the pas senger train at 3:33 A. M. and reach Macon at 10 A. M. returning at 1 o'clock the nett morning. Now that our people can make the trip in a day, we hope that the county will be largely represented at the State Fair. Detail!. We regret to learn of the death of Mr. William Terrill, which occurred a few days ago at the residence of his sister Mrs Frances Perkins. Mr. Terrill had past the age of man, having attained hi seventy-fay rth year. He was a good man. Peace to this ashes. FA m—NOTICE. We are led to believe that the vield will reach nearly, if not quite t.hree t mrths of a crop. Corn is .turuin ; out ve ry well, and on some farms, really fine. !X/”We learn that, a School house near Bairdstown, used by the negroes as a Church, was burned Saturday night of last week. It is a wonder thai a great many more are not burned than .are, tliey are so careless with lights and fire. They are hur rahing nearly all night wherever they hold tht ir meetings. • Religions. The meeting at the Methodist Chuieh s' ill continues with increased intere-t.— There have been a number of conversions, with several accessions to that Church, and others who will unite with the oihei Churches. Christians of all deni.miuatious have united in working for the Master - have sung and prayed, and have rejoiced together.
