Died.—John W. Post died 4th
inst., and was buried at Pleasant
Grove, Rev. Burdette conducted
funeral. Johnnie was a good and
noble boy and 411 mourn his
death. A Friend,
Mise Flora Lassiter, who has
been visiting sriends and relatives
here for the last three weeks, re
turned to Ajlanta Sunday.
The boys went out New Year’s
night with a straw man and had
considerable fun. They went to
Jim Adams’ house and set the
straw man in the yard; hecame
to the door and spoke to him: he
didn’t speak, s 0 he got his gun
and shot him. When the ball
struck him he fell over, so Mr.
Adams thought he had killed a
real man. When he found out
his mistake he carried the man in
the house and took a bundle of
fodder out of his head to pay for
the load he shot out of his gun.
If he-is out of fodder the boys will
try to make up money to buy him
some,

have returned from a visit among
relatives in Alabama.
