A corresooi <1 :nt of the Scientific American, writing from Vienna in July, says: Tne number of visitors enter ing Vi enna seems to increase slightly as the incrcascing waimtli of the season drives tourists notllnvaid from Italy. Home and many other cf the mere in teresting cities of the | eninsula be come extremely unhealtlij, as the heat of summer begins to produce puM'fac tion and decay whenever organic mat ter is left exposed to the air; and mias malic emanations, thus set free to con i laminate the atmosphere, produce a j class of diseases, of which fever and ague, the dreaded Roman fever, and tiro-still more dai geierons yellow fe ver, are examples. Cases of cholera occur in Vienna daily,, but they are nut uaua ly cf the Asiatic type. The government is taking every precaution against the ontrance and the spread of the disease. ( rave Mounds.
