Look to Your Weights and Measures.
• The Laws of the>lafcd require that
every man, buying or selling Jay weight
or measure, should have his vessels for
measuring and instruments ^for Weigh
ing, sealed by the person duly authoris
ed, and he is liable to prosecution if he
neglects t?oomp!y with this law.
■ James W. Langston, Clerk of tho In
ferior Court, is the authorised sealer for
Floyd county, and those who have not
complied with this law will do well to
attend to it at once.
The trial weights and measures are
good, substantial articles! manufactured
by J. W. Kissom, New York.
Mr. Langston informs us that the set
sent to Floyd county, is deficient—not
containing the Peek and Quart Dry, or
the half gallon and pint Liquid measure,
Now it is not probable that the Govern
ment would contract for incomplete sets
and if it did not, then it looks very
pmch like Mr. K., or some one else had
been swindling. Ifow wo3 it in -the
other counties of Georgia 1 Mr. Clerks,
did you get full sets of weights and
measures ?

The Bank Bobbery—Money Found,
Early tills morning a greater part of
the money taken from the vault of the
Marine Bank Agency,. Monday night
last, was found under a bridge near the
Orphan Asylum, neat; the depot'of the
Muscogee Rail Road. The amount dis
covered was $30,800, which was done up
in a package as it was probably when
taken from the Bank. The probabili
ties are that further and more interest
ing developments may be made during
the day. No clue, as we have learned
yet, to the balance of the money.—Vot.
