NELLY'S GBAVli.
N«ar ft cloar and laughing brooklet)
Down in the flowery doll. .
Where the birds are gaily singing
And rosea love to dwell.
Where the tall and branching willows,
Their weeping leaflets wave,
In a sweet secluded corner, t
Is darling Nelly’s grave.
Rich clustering vines are twining
Around her lonely tomb,
And in Spring the brightest flowers
Mingle their sweet perfume.
While the sighing zephyrs murmur
A low and plaintive sound,
The happy angels are guarding
Her Uttle grassy mound.
When evening’s shades are gathering,
And dews are falling fast,
I often wander to that spot
To dream about the past.
Her pleasing smiles, so bright, so pure,
To mo again appear,
And scenes of other days come back
A thousand timos more dear.
Her speaking eyes, so large and full,
Beamed with ioy and love,
And her heart was pure and guileless
As the angels up above.
Her charming voice, so soft and rich,
Methinks I hear it yet,
Her faultless form and easy grace
I never can forget.

A curious incident is mentioned
by the Cattaraugus (New York) liepub-

was conveyed to thogravo. As the dirt

was heard. The coffin was instantly
raised and opened, and a shriek of
“mother 1” burst from the lips of the
rcsucitated child. It is useless to at
tempt a description of the scene that
followed. The child is in a fair way to

years, giving satisfaction to all who havo
used it. The Bitters operate powerfully upon
the stomach, bowels and liver, restoring
them to a healthy and vigorous notion, and
thus by the simple process of strengthening
nature, enable the system to triumph over
disease. Diarrheas, dysentery or flux, so
generally contacted Dy new settlers, and
caused principally by the change of water
and diet, will be speedily regulated by a
brief use of this preparation. Dyspepsia,
a disease which is probably more prevalent
when taken in all its various forms, than
any other; the cause of which may always
be attributed to derangements of the diges

the pain is felt under the shoulder Jbtkde^
and it frequently extends to the to£ of th<P

rheumatism in the arm. The stomach is-
affected with loss of appetite and sickness,
the bowels in eeneral are costive, sometime*
alternative with lax; the head is troubled
with pain, accompanied with a dull, heavy
sensation in the back part. There is gene
rally a considerable loss of memory, accom

left undone something which ought to have
been done. A slight, dry cough is some
times an attendant. The patient complains
of weariness and debility; he is easily startled,
his feet are cold or burning, and he com
plains of a prickly sensation of the skin;
nis spirits arc low; and although he is satis

yet he can scarcely summon up fortitude
enough to try it. In fact, he distrusts every
