HOSTHTTEH’S
STOMACH BITTERS,
For the cure of Dyspepsia, Indigestion, Kausea,
Flatulency, Loss of Appetite, or any Bilious
Complaints, arising from a morbid inaction
of the Stomach or Bowds, producing Cramps,
Dyssntery, Colic, Cholera Morbus, <to.
In view at the fact that every member of
the human family is more or less subjected, to
some of the above complaints, besides in
numerable other conditions in life, which
by the assistance of a little knowledge o.
exercise of common sense, they may be able
so to regulate' tiieir habits of diet, and with
the assistance of a good tonic, secure per
manent health. In order to accomplish this
desired object, the true course to pursue is,
certainly, that which will produce n natural
state of things nt thu least hazard of vital
strength and life ; for this end Dr. Hostettcr
has introduced to this country n prepara
tion called HOSTETTER’S STOMACH
BITTERS, which at this day is 10 a new
medicine, but one that lias been tried for
years, giving satisfaction to nil who have
used it. The Bitters operate powerfully upon
the stomach, bowels and liver, restoring
them to a healthy and vigorous action, anil
thus by the simple process of strengthening
nature, enable the system to triumph over
disease. Dinrrhtea, dysentery or flux, so
generally contracted liy new settlers, and
caused principally by the change of water
and diet, will bo speedily regulated by_ a
brief use of this preparation. Dyspepsia,
a disease which is probably more provident
when taken in all its various forms, than
any other; the cause of which may always,
be attributed to derangements of the diges
tive organs, can be cured without fail by
using HOSTETTER’S STOMACH HIT
TERS as per directions on the bottle. For
this disease every physician will recom
mend Bitters of some kind, then why not

the pain is felt under the shoulder blade,,
and it frequently extends to the top of thrf
shoulder, and is sometimes mistaken for a
rheumatism in. the arm. The stomach ii-
affected with loss of appetite and sickness,-
the bowels in general are costive, sometimes-
alternative with lax; the head is troubled
with pain, accompanied with a dull, heavy
sensation in the back part. There is gene
rally a considerable loss of memory, nccom-
sanied with a painful sensation of having
eft undone something which ought to have
been done. A slight, dry cough is some
times an attendant. The patient, complains
of weariness and debility; he is easily startled,
his feet are cold or burning, and he com-
jlains of a prickly sensation of the skin;
its spirits are low; and although he is satis
fied that exercise would be beneficial to him,
yet he can scarcely summon up fortitude
enough to try it. In fact, he distrusts every
remedy. Several of the above symptoms
attend the disease, but cases have occurred
where few of them existed, yet examination
of the body, after death, has shown the
liver to have been extensively deranged.

Dr. M’Lane’s Liver Pills, in cases ok
