also of “Turkish Flint” wheat raised in
Burko Co. of this State, that excels any

guard and other offloers being moved
even to tears. It was occasioned by. thee
arrival ot Charles Hudson, who is now
aged nearly three score and ten.—He
was recently convicted of the murder
of his slave, before the Circuit Court of
Mecklenburg county, and sentenced to
the State prison for eighteen years. Up
on his arrival before tne main ante, he
trembled like an aspen leaf, ana exclai
med, 'Great God 1 On 1 sustain and hel]
me in this trying ho'ur.’ As he posse
