The Federal force, a Division of in-

Now let us make a suggestion in re;
gard t(Sf fiiis troublesome'matter.- We'
have hot got, neither can wo have, with
any safety, but one head to. this.young
Confederacy of ours. The little potty,
grievances and troubles of each indis
vicinal is well understood by himself,
but tho great wants of the natidn, the
necessitifcs of tho army, the .. numbers
1 absolutely essential to repel the enemy'
—these are facts that are made known
to Congress through tho. President and
Seofetary of War, and on which, if they
are wise, they aro compelled to baije
their.action.; Wo At homo do not kuiqv

read) und willing ; to do his own part
for the common good of all, and, with
out murmuring, should .respond to the
demands his country makes.
We are obliged to trust general re
sults to tho bands of “tho powers that
be” and yield a willing obedience, or all
will bo engulfed in one common ruin.
Let us then, cordially, support the
Prcsidc-nt, fill-up the ranks of the army
and make ono more desperate -effort to
rid tho country of the despicable fo.\
If Johnson's army is reci'uitett to the
oxteut he desires—and this can and
will be done if all respond to the re
cent oall—lie will be able to drive the
haled enemy beyond tho Ohio lliver
before the first of July, and then wo
will got provisions in abundance from
both Tennessee aim Kentucky. The
fact is the enemy must be wbippeii before
wo can ltave any assurance of provisions
or anything else, and with’lhis accom
plished we can easily have all things.—
The surest way. to secure provisions
then, is to join the army.. The,yanks

The prompt arid voluntary vc-enlist-

army, for the war, after throe long
weary yeurs of desperate fighting, is a
sufficient.evidence of pluck nnd endu

all will be well. In our leader wo have
a tried and gifted warrior, fully sensible
