Are vou acquainted, Mr. Editor, with a
scber, intelligent, and respectable citizen,
mind, in regard to the production of the
substance known as Alcohol, which pro
duces drtiiiketiness. Many suppose that
there is some portion of it in all vegetable
substances; at least in all, whose fermenta
tion, after the germinating principle is de
