that I could not rest day or night.
In October last my son brought me one of your
bottle of wrappers'; I rcad it and found record of
som* wonderful cures performed by your “Extract
<-t Yellow Dock & Sarsaparilla,” 1 sent and got
two bottles of it, and commenced taking ir. In two
weeks to my great astonishment, my sores all bc-
lack of water. In some places they have to ball
it four or five miles for drinking and cooking pur
poses. Give us the “red old hills'’ of Middle
Georgia with their unfailing fountains bursting
from the everlasting granite, in preference to any
region o n tiie green earth, beside.
Agricultural-
YTe intend to devote more of the space allotted
us, to this useful and interesting pursuit, and hop e
to elicit from the members of tiie Hancock Planter’s
club, such communications, as will at once eonfe r
additional honor upon, that time I. n rod association'
and prove profitable to our readers. For the last eiglT
teen years, we ha ve spout much of our leisuro time
in studying the theory of Agricultural science am
awicre, nnd devoted no little time to it practically.
We have not grown weary in ftie pursuit, but are
more than willing to communicate to ethers what
we have learned,if our intelligent farmers will do
the same. If we look at it in a selfish light, noth
ing will pay better,or if we consider it as a means
of doing good and advancing the interest of the
race, no pursuit save one,can add so much to the
sum of human 'happiness,or bring dawn so effectu
ally the blessings of ueaven.upon ourselves and our
posterity.
