Died iu Washington cohnty, at tlie residence
of her son (Lewis Knight) Mis' Sarah Knight,
supposed to’bo about Ml) years of age. She
was born in North Carolina and emigrated to
this State about the year 1800. She has been a
consistent member of the Babtist church 54
years. She lived to see all of her children
(eight in number) united to the Baptist church.

Sandkrsvili-'e, Oct. 25.—COTTON .-The sale
of cotton'for the week ending to-day, amount
to 290 bales at the following prices: 28 at lnMC
12 at 10 3-16, 13 at 10 5-16. 45 at li)%, 177 at
10% and 15 at IoJ^e. These prices show wheth
er Sandersville is one of the best cotton mar
kets in the State or not. Bring on your cot
ton. Our merchants will give you all they
possibly can for it, and sell you goods on as
reasonable terms as you can buy them any
where else.

sellers—the former insisting on a decline from

nor are we disposed to repeat them. A ma-
. jority O' holders are firm at those figures—say

Miduling—while buyers are not willing to pay
