Sandersville High School.—By
ference to our columns, our readers
jllsee that this institution will be opei •

Thomas, although comparatively a
granger in Sandersville, has had sever-
1 years experience as a Teacher, and
j s well qualified; and will doubtless be
able to satisfy the most exacting. Mr.
jl lc tnpson, who assisted his father du

Tus Washington Co. Agricultd-
AnorKTY.—We attended the ineet-
j r ,g of this Association on Tuesday last,
JIK 1 were very highly gratified with the
interest manifested by the members in
the business of the association. Our
old friend Elisha W. Jordan, an old,
experienced and successful planter,
made a few remarks connected with the
object of the organization, ai d conclu
ded by saying, that, “if there was any
ventleman present, who could raise corn
or cotton, at a less cost than he could,
| ie wished to hear from him.”
This remark excited a pleasant and
interesting discussion in which Col. Mo
ses and Col. B. D. Evans participated
Unfortunately no one was prepared to
give definite information as to tl e lost of
producing corn or cotton, hut we are
certain from the interest manifested,
that in some future meeting we shall
have some valuable statistical informa
tion.
Wo would suggest that these reports

Amount produced, and 4tli. Method of
cultivation.
