on our best and repaired to the scene of
disaster: arriving there wo found a most tor-
rib le destruction ol property and the loss ot
one life, that of a fireman, Mr. Harry Young,
son of Conductor Phil Yonug, well known to
the traveling public. The first thing thnl
met onr eyes, wore two largo engiues, the
Connecticut nud South Carolina, stnudisg on
a trestle locked in fond embrace, both al
mist a total wreck.

her home in Washington Co., Gn„ Oet, 20th,
1884 being 88 years, 2 months, nnd 12 days
old - She was a consistntil member of the
M. E. Church until she was trnnsfered to her

since the your 1837, was the mother of elev
en children hut only two are now living.

There was nothing like selfishness in her
nature. Her circle of friends waawidoand
