July, 1906, at public outcry at the
courthouse door in said county of Wash
ington . within the legal hours of sale,
to the highest bidder for cash, the fol
lowing property, to-wit: All that cer
tain tract of land lying and being in
the 95th district, G. M., of Washington
county, Georgia, on the Ogeechee river
containing 1282 1-2 acres, more or less,
said lot of land being composed of the
following tracts: The Collins tract
containing 1125 acres, the T. E. May
lot of land No. 9 of the division of the
estate of Edmund May containing 100
acres, and a part of the Raehel May
place, being the j. H. May share of the
division ana known as lot No. 1 con
taining 58 aores, said tract of laud
bounded at follows: On the north by
lands of Martha May and a tot known
as the j. B, williams lot and Floyd
Greek; on the east by the Ogeechee
river; on the south by the Armstrong
place; and on the west by lands of
M. E. warthen and the R. T. May lot
of the Rachel May estate.
Said property is levied upon as the
property of John H. May, to satisfy a
n fa issued from the District Oourt of
the United States for the Northeastern
Division of the Southern District of
Georgia in favor of the United States
of America against John B Roberts,
Principal, John H. May, George w.
Peacock, and Samuel G. Lnng.surieties
and said H fa. is proceeding for the use
of said Samuel G. Lang who has paid
snidfi fa. amounting to $1341.32, prin
cipal. interest and costs, against the
property of the said John H. May as
co surety to enforce the payment to
the said Samuel G. Lang the pro rata
amount due by the said John H. Mav
on said 11 fa. Said property being in
the possession of Thomas warthen and
Macon warthen, jr. written notice of
levy given as required by law.
